  1. He's 36 & hasn't played in something like 7 years. I agree that his days are done as a qb, But this is Jim Harbaugh we're talking about here... If anyone is unconventional, it's him.
  2. I'm stoked to see what Harbaugh can do with Justin Herbert. Would he bring back Colin Kaepernick? He played his best football under Harbaugh. With the new sherrif running the Chargers, they may stop being the afterthought in Los Angeles behind the Rams.
  3. My condolences to the Malveaux family. He was a pretty good ball player & won a Grey Cup with the Stamps in 2001. Just 47 years old. Probably still has a young family. As has been shown this week with Bruce Covernton & Malveaux, we never know when our time is finished on this earth. All of us should be happy for the opportunity to grow old.
  4. Why did they get rid of the Grand Big Mac? That was the size the regular Big Mac was twenty years ago.
  5. Actually, if truth be known their pizza wasn't that bad.
  6. We must've angered the hockey gods. What a bad string of injuries. This is why Jets fans can't enjoy good things.
  7. It's Bowl Way, don't you know??? I wouldn't touch one of those bowl meals with a 10 foot pole as they look disgusting. It's like when McDonald's sold pizza. Subway is way outside it's comfort zone with that ****.
  8. I'd have loved for us to pry Powell out of Hamilton. Too bad we didn't trade Brown to Hamilton for him. That kid is going to be a good one. They should be giving him more playing time & not a physically wrecked BLM.
  9. Former big mouthed, arrogant & entitled Ottawa GM who Karma caught up to. I'll never forgive him mocking how bad the Bomber players were in the Expansion Draft. Asshat. Yeah, that was him.
  10. For the production he gives us he's waaaaaaaaaay overpaid. Why would we waste money on the guy? As a reliever, he has a 5 or 6 yard average. As a starter, he'd average 3.5 to 4. We just got our kicking sorted out. Why the **** would we trust a Global kicker to come in & be better?
  11. I was wondering who desjardins was. But I think you mean Drew Desjarlais.
  12. If we have to start Augustine then we're in trouble running the ball. I don't think he's good enough to carry the load 15-20 times a game for 18 games. If Oliveira leaves then watch the Bombers bring in six or 7 American running backs before training camp. The Bombers will make the change in the backfield to an American back during the pre season. Just my prediction. Milanovich-LItre? Yikes. He's not the answer. He's not even the question.
  13. No, Harty's still on the roster so I included him. If he leaves & the Redblacks can't replace him then hooo boy will they be in trouble.
  14. I'm sure things will pick up once we get into February before free agency.
  15. He's going to find out what it's like to play behind an inferior offensine line. He won't have the same grind it out running game with Oliveira although he has a thousand yard rusher in Devonte Williams. Brown has a couple of good receivers in Dominique Rhymes & Justin Harty. The rest of the cast is meh. He'll have a hard time throwing deep if he's on his back which is what I expect is going to happen.
  16. That's my thought. He'll be more Arbuckle than Reilly. We'll see. I don't want to write him off before he even plays.
  17. Longtime Stamps Left tackle Bruce Covernton passed away two days ago in his sleep. Apparently, he had a massive heart attack. He was only 57 years of age. I knew Bruce as he coached with me at Centennial High School in 2008 here in Calgary. Covernton was born in Morris, MB. After Covernton played HS football in Winnipeg, he attended Weber State & then was drafted by the Stamps in 1992. He played LT for them from 1992-98. Covernton was named the CFL's Western Division ROTY. Covernton was a CFL West Division All Star in 1993 & 94. He was named an All Canadian at Left Tackle in 1994. He was a two time Grey Cup Champion in 1992 & 98. Upon retiring, Bruce took up permanent residence here. He was an entrepreneur & was active in local charities in Calgary. He founded a company that imported coffee from Columbia. Then Covernton bought a personnel staffing company & it was very successful. He was quite a character & will be missed.
  18. You missed a couple of entertaining playoff games this past weekend.
  19. I agree. Great Brown got paid but the RedBlacks are paying him on anticipated future performances & not on experience. And therein lies the problem with Ottawa. They've taken the starting position away from Dustin Crumb who had a year's experience & played like a warrior. There's no consistency with continually playing musical chairs with their qbs. How can anyone develop when they're being replaced? I expect the same **** from the RedBlacks this season.
  20. The MSM in this country is sure playing this whole episode down as of yet.
  21. Dave was thrown into the role of GM with no training or grooming. Last off season when Dave became GM, he was asked if he had ever negotiated a contract. He said no. That others would do that for him. He was never involved in player personnel or scouting. But the Stamps ownership didn't want to pay for a competent & experienced GM from outside the organization so they appointed Dickenson. They play Dolegala over Fine as he was first injured & then permanently benched. Then they sign Fine. Thney keep Harris & I believe Dolegala will also be back. If I'm a Rider fan, I'm totally confused.
  22. I'd be happy with just being called the "New" Winnipeg Stadium. I always liked that name.
  23. Apparently from what I've read today, the Bills are $45 million over the salary cap which means the team will be pulled apart before next season.
