Yeah but the Bombers acted fast when he became available. Walters knew he screwed up the first time. Brown is a lifetime Bomber now. He isn't going anywhere unless he plays badly. Which I doubt he will. Admittedly, we got lucky but in the Bomber defense they made the decision to reacquire Brown quickly. They know another team would have wanted him. Our timing after last night with the Rourke injury was impeccable. The football gods were smiling upon us.

They have nothing behind their starters Mitchell & Rourke who face significant time recuperating from their injuries. . If I was a Rider fan, I'd be scared shitless thinking what the Riders would do if he went down. They have Tommy Stevens who can't throw. Jack Coan is totally unproven. Would the Argos be willing to trade Arbuckle?? I don't think Osh & Walters will deal Zach. the only bright spot about that injury is it's Rourke's non throwing shoulder.

Now Rourke is out for probably significant time as well. His replacement Cody Brice threw four picks. Yikes. All the more reason NOT to trade Collaros.

Trevor Harris historically has had trouble staying healthy. Talk about rolling the dice as he's 40 years old. How can the Riders not have a transition plan in place to replace the guy at his age?? If they get thru the entire season & win another Grey Cup with Harris as their starting qb then Corey Mace better buy a Lotto Max ticket as he'll be the luckiest head coach the CFL ever had.

Great post!! Nothing says amateur football when your statrting qb can't find an open receiver downfield. Or just looks so out of it that the coaches look like dumbasses playing him. Like Milanovich did last Sunday. How can a guy like Dolegala with 3 to 4 years of experience not understand a CFL defense??? What's he do, sleep thru the qb meetings & film sessions? If these American qbs don't get it after two seasons, then they should be cut & bring in the next guy.

Stevens is a joke actually. We call Maier, "McCheese". He's got nothing on that guy. Osh being Osh covets that extra 2nd round pick. Make it a first rounder & maybe I'd be onboard.

No idea why we didn't try to pick up another Canadian receiver that could bring more to our offense than Corcoran & Cobb have so far. I just get the feeling that at times, Walters gives himself a pat on the back & says his job is done. He & Osh seem satisfied with the status quo.

Losing Mitchell doesn't help.

Are there not any PR Canadian receivers we can pick up frpm other teams roster s better than Cobb & Corcoran? There has to be. I can't beleve those 2 guys are our final solution at boundary receiver.

You speak like a ten year old fan. Like I was many years ago. The true measure of a champion is defeating everyone at their best against your best. Fans don't want to see every other team lose their starting qbs. The CFL has so many problems. The last thing the leagfue needs are star qb from other teams going down to injuries. Now, they'll be lucky to get 15000 to the Ti Cats remaining home games. Their season is over.

Dinwiddie seems to be the only one who thinks he can win with Maier. He can;t & I predict that Jake won't even be playing pro football anywhere in 2 years. It'll take a miracle to resurrect his career.

That's on Jason Maas but they know they may only win another 3 or 4 games with Crum starting. All the more reason we hang on to Zach & not trade him.

It's become pretty clear that when he was in Toronto that Pinball was the firewall that protected Ryan Dinwiddie from himsellf. Now, that he has complete control in Ottawa, there's no Pinball to protect him. I mean, it's pretty evident that Sean Burke has one foot out the door already & was only kept around because of the Admin Cap. Dinwiddie doesn't report to him.

Surgery can probably fix it but if they went that route then Alexander's season is over. The problem is backup Dustin Crum isn't likely to get it done if he took over.

One has to wonder what the motivation was for Ryan Dinwiddie to say publicly that he felt Brown didn't have the arm strength to push the ball downfield verically? In what dimension or world that he lives in, did he think a comment like that wouldn't come back to bite him at some point? When a coach says that about one of his qbs that he got rid of, well that's akin to a personal attack. Qbs are generally defined by their arm strength. When a coach says his qb can "make all the throws" or he's a "gunslinger" that's about as complimentary as it gets.

Nothing like a chronic hamstring injury to make a player ponder early retirement if it won't go away.

I don't think Alexander had surgery while trying tio rehab the thing. He may have to if the hamstring injury has become chronic.

Funny how they signed Ford yet MIlanovich doesn't have the trust in him to play him. Lawler's just a different kind of cat. (Pardon the pun). When he was interviewed at halftime by TSN ecently, he looked totally disinterested. No eye contact at all. It was like he was talking to shadows. Kind of reminds me of the way Allen Pitts used to be when he dealt with the media the same way. Totally disengaged. There's a reason why Doug Flutie won the CFL MOP award in 1995 instead of Pitts despite racking up over 2100 yards receiving. He wasn't well liked by the local Calgary media because he didn't like them. It was more of an eff you to Pitts than anythiong else.
