  1. All BS. All about getting a new, publicly funded stadium. No way they split home games. They'll move wherever a stadium gets built for them. Horrible, horrible owners.

  6. Fine but the stadium was built for soccer. For TFC and the national team. A couple of weeks ago they didn't even scrub the paint off. MLSE is just embarrassing.
  7. Just promote them. Try something. Kids go free with paying adults. I don't like giving away tickets but we need some youth in TO to get interested. Or, try to get the young adults interested by making it a party. I was reading TFC fans complaining about the lines from the CFL on field, which is a totally legit complaint, but it's not the reason TFC has such poor crowds this year. The product is terrible and Torontonians are not interested in terrible teams. Except the Leafs, of course. Blue Jays are popular again because they're good.
  8. It's doubly worse because Bell owns MLSE (with Rogers) and TSN.
  9. He's after the interest of Dave Naylor, which happens to align with TSN. He thinks he'll be a big fish in a merger.
  10. Dave Naylor, like most other TSN talking heads, are trying to convince us that the CFL cannot stand on its own. It's been his mission, since the XFL-CFL talks started to get the leagues to merge.
  11. It would be quite rich for MLSE to go to the City of Toronto for money when they own a relatively new stadium in BMO. Plus, BMO is where they would want the GC, anyhow. They just have to invest in the team off the field.
  12. There's not a lot stadiums that could host CFL games in the GTA. York Lions (university stadium) seats 4,000 but has a big track around it. Less than ideal. Short of building a new stadium north of the 401, I don't see many options, that make sense. And, no one is building a stadium for the Argos. Guelph hosted the TiCats games when TH Field was being built. But, are Argo fans who don't want to go to BMO willing to drive to Guelph? I don't think so.
  13. Made with heart, fueled by Michelob Ultra.
  14. I've read he was too slow this year too. But, he did have a hamstring injury, so, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. Sometimes, I think you need to play through injuries when you're a PR player and it didn't work out.
  15. It was cheap and it helped "fill" BMO on non-MLS dates. So, on one hand, it makes sense, but they've done nothing, absolutely nothing, to promote or improve the club off the field. I think they're happy they got Pinball to take care of everything on the field and are probably satisfied there.
  16. Or, you can just call them JERKS... Jerks E R K S
  17. Part of the problem in Toronto is that MLSE doesn't want to own a team in the CFL. And, TSN really wants the XFL and CFL to merge.
  18. Seems like they like McKnight more. I didn't see anything in the games he played but I'll trust the scouts and coaching staff on this.
  19. Yeah, pricing is an issue, I think. CFL is not sexy right now and the Argos are terrible.
  20. Part of the problem, amongst the many, many problems, is that Toronto FC fans hate the Argos. They hate sharing the facility. They get all cranky about it is supposed to be the National team's home, blah, blah, blah. There is lots of animosity. Then you put out a terrible product.
