Well it's good to hear I have company.  My wife left the house last night because of what she calls my juvenile behaviour of swearing and yelling at the TV.   She's still a little pissed at me this morning but I'm sure it wont last too much longer.

I think you cover some of the main reasons right there.
Then you can add some others, like an offence that completely disappeared in the second half.  A defence that turned to Jello.   A returned that somehow doesn't know how to protect the ball when he knows he's going to get hit.  A DB that lines up offside on a key play and nullifies one of the best goal line stands I've seen in my 40  years of watching football.
Frustrated that MOS has to use a challenge on an obvious penalty and the refs completely missed.
Anyway, a game that was there for the taking if not for mistakes and the disappearance of the offence in the second half.

Nichols had good numbers and his completion percentage was higher than BLM.. But Nichols made 2 critical mistakes... 1 took points away and 1 was a pick 6 backbreaker.
People can talk about the D in the 2nd half but... We scored zero second half points.

    Jerome Messam was never unemployed.
Johnny Adams got lit up week 1.
Carmichael wouldn't even be playing if Bruce Johnson hadn't got injured and Brandon Alexander has been fine.  Not sure where you're getting this "flavour of the month" thing.  I guess you thought we had the best secondary in the league last year and shouldn't have changed anything.  I just don't agree.

Despite what some are complaining about, our defence actually had a fairly good game. We're talking about BLM and his high flying offence. The guy has only lost 7 games in his career and this game he was held to 22 points offensively. 10 of those were on turnovers.
No, it was turnovers and a below average performance from our QB that led to this loss.

The loss? Pretty disappointing in the fact that we didn't play better for the crowd.
Otherwise, the fact remains we stood up to Calgary for a good portion of he game despite handing them 16 points. You just can't do that against any team, never mind the Stamps.
They are a championship caliber team. We are not..yet.
They held the stamps to 9 points in the first half and came up with 10 of their own. That was huge..considering the turnovers.
But despite that, Calgary adjusted and we didn't adjust to their adjustments. Couple that with more turnovers, and you're not going to beat them. We had to play a fairly clean game. We didn't.

Penalties weren't a factor unless you count that iffy call of PI that Dickenson threw a challenge flag on, after an incomplete pass…on the other side of the field…away from the play. Those calls have got to go.
This was part of a sequence that led to 3 points for the Stamps, followed by a sack on Nichols, on the next series of downs.
Again the Bombers stopped the Stamps, but the backbreaker, and end of game for us, came on Nichols pic 6.
That was it for the Blue.
Momentum gone and Calgary took over.
Aside from a couple of players, Carmichael and Lankford, I believe we have a decent team. We should be able to muster 10 wins for a playoff spot. We will get better.

Nope.  I was never under the illusion that this was going to be the best team in the league.  I saw us finishing anywhere from 8-10 to 12-6.  All I know is that this is a playoff team and my opinion hasn't changed in that regard.  Get hot at the right time, get into the playoffs and anything can happen.  Sure I would have loved to see a win last night, but I wasn't expecting it.

It was a bad game.  The team still has work to do.  The sun came up again today.  Take it to the Argos next week.

What I saw tonight was a bad day at the office for Nichols , and the O in general.  I actually thought the OL was giving Nichols plenty of time but he double clutched a few times when he really just needed to pull the trigger and go long.  The one play that stands out there was when Harris was wide open right down the middle of the field and Nichols just dropped it off for a short pass that ended up incomplete.  There were also a few plays where Nichols and his receivers just weren't on the same page... usually with the throw going long and the receiver curling short (happened with both Adams and Washington at least once each).
Turning point in my mind was the BS* illegal contact call on the challenge because that allowed Calgary to score early in the 3rd (helped also by a blatant missed holding call on the play when Wild got injured), and then the dagger was the pick 6 which just totally deflated the already struggling offence.
Unlike many of the callers on OB, I do not believe that the sky is falling and that we need to blow the team up... I chalk it up to an off day for a few guys... the season is early and there is plenty of football yet to be played.
    * I say it was BS because the receiver initiated the contact, and put Randle on the ground... it also all happened within 5 yards of the line of scrimmage, so the c'mon centre blew another call as far as I'm concerned

Also, honourable mention to the D for the goal line stand, stopping Calgary 5 times from the 1... though they did get the TD on the 6th try, that was an impressive series of stops.

10 9 at half... Could have been 20 to 9... We kept Calgary in it with turnovers... They woke up cuz they are a very good team and Nichols and the O went to bed.

I believe the actual quote on the trailer for Atomic Blonde is something to the effect of "Critics are saying it's a female 007"... it's not actually related to the Bond franchise in any way, shape, or form.

Doing a taproom tour to prime up this afternoon. Started at Little Brown Jug, more very on to Half Pints, then One Great City a bit later. Absolutely gorgeous day for pints in the city. No word of a lie, when we sat down with a taster flight at HPs, Bachman's "Prairie Town" came on the speaker. Fantastic...
