  1. Problem is, is that no one has come up and played like they deserved to be here.
  2. How many teams have that one guy as a go to guy special team player? Ovechkin, Malkin, Subban? Not many. Buff fit that role but he's too inconsistent. Stuart does his job and obviously the coaches think so too.
  3. Was his timely penalty last night the breaking point?
  4. I have no problem with Randle at SAM, I hope they move Leggett up there to challenge him though.I personally thought Leggett was more valuable at safety than linebacker as well as Randall at db. I think once Leggett got closer to the LOS he made plays which made me he think he'd be a good candidate for SAM. Safety is easier to replace IMO
  5. Nope. Not one of them would be an upgrade to what we have. Brackenridge...maybe but Leggett is a better option. At the price they'd be asking...no thanks.
  6. The move reeks of desperation. Yes his game has fallen off but now what? I think they could've sent him a message a better way. Put him in the press box. Sending him down is going to do one or two things...make himself re-evaluate himself or make him bitter.
  7. I keep seeing Arceneaux straight-arming Washington and throwing him to the turf like a limp ragdoll. Bombers need to find a Manny duplicate or a Nik Lewis clone who can cause havoc in the D backfield. A Cory Watson/Chris Matthews hybrid would be nice. Big receivers who could block.
  8. This move is a big puzzler to me. What is he gonna do for the Moose? Conditioning?
  9. K wtf...they better have a plan place. I know his play isn't where it should be this year but they need him. Guess this means Copp is making the team for the fore seeable future?
  10. Who is going to backup Harris should he go down?
  11. If we put him on waivers tonight, he'd be gone in a heartbeat. He has more value to this time than you know. The fact you don't see that shows how little you know about building a roster
  12. 2-3 years? Doubt that, RB's tend to peak at his age. I would like him for year tops.
  13. I have no problem with Randle at SAM, I hope they move Leggett up there to challenge him though.
  14. Saying be is a liability every single time he is on the ice shows how little you know. He is the epitome of what you want in a bottom six D-man. Physical, defends his own end and blocks shots. He helped in a big way with Trouba's development.
  15. That would be pretty sweet. Wonder if Calgary will resign D'Aguilar. Might be a decent rotational player but bet he resigns.
  16. Stuart is the rugged D-type you need. Chiarot is going to get better, this is only his second year. Brendon Kitchon is young and is a decent prospect. I read somewhere about Eberle and RNH salaries and they are definitely not making $6-mil a year.
  17. They stick around because print journalism is a dying breed. No one wants to get into it, even radio is dying a slow death.
  18. We have a LHD prospect. Morrisey
  19. Petan wasn't in a good situation, playing on the 4th line doesn't match the type of player he is. He could've proved them wrong but didn't so sending him to the Moose was the right call. Less pressure, more ice time will give him a better chance at developing and build his confidence.
  20. they wouldn't give up any of their guys even if we threw in Wheeler They are looking for more bump and grind type of players up front, perception is they are too "soft". Draistl, Hall and McDavid are their future in their minds. They have been rumored to be open to moving RNH or Eberle in order to more grit. Ladd would be perfect for them, gritty forward with skill and a leader/mentor type for the younger players.
  21. He is also a reporter. His reporting is better than his columns but he still manages to take digs at the Bombers when he is writing reports. *** journalist. And I use that term very loosely.
  22. Starting to think Ladd is more easily replaced than Buff. Package him in a deal for Nugent-Hopkins.
  23. It's very difficult to observe the routes our receivers ran last year by watching on TV. But I was told, from an observer field level, that the routes were run practically to the same depth, which of course, makes little sense. Now, if there are STHs, or even casual game by game observers who can confirm or dispute that, please, let us know. It would explain a lot about the failings of that offence. That's absurd and can't say I saw that at all. Always deep routes, intermediate. Fewer deep throws after Willy went down because the QB's weren't good/comfortable, including Nichols. If the routes were ran at the same depth all the time you literally would complete about 20% of your passes maybe. That's someone with an agenda IMO. Damn. Should have kept Bellefeuille.A bit different, even with a supposed upgraded O-line, a healthy Willy, he still couldnt generate functional offense. 81-106 76% 1134 yards (283 per game) 7 TDs 1 INT in games Willy started and finished. Looks pretty functional to me. If you put the best 4 games by all QB's combined in Lapolice's last stint here it would probably pale, and two of those games would be Joey Elliott. Change was needed, but let's be realistic. Lapolice over Bellefeuille is not likely to be a significant upgrade. The significant upgrade will be personnel based. Let's hope that Walters & Co are being realistic too. Never said it'd be significant but better is still better, how much better remains to be seen. Sure Willy's numbers were good but our run game sucked, kinda one sided, not really functional. Lapo may not be the ultimate solution but based on what was available out there, it was a crap shoot anyway.
  24. I was shaking my head at the team until I saw how much Friesen got an erection over this...
