  1. Have to agree, Jones isn't going to fix that mess in one season. Hell look at his first year in Edmonton.
  2. And therein lies the problem, rarely is a guy sitting waiting to be "that guy".
  3. You want Randle to replace J. Adams? After he had 6 int's last year? There's 2 corners on the field... So you want one of our best defensive players to cover the worst starting receiver on every teams offence? Pretty much why Bucknor played there.
  4. Only a 4.7 yard rushing average though, lowest of his career. That's concerning for a guy who will be 29 next season. I'd still like to see him here but hope we wouldn't break the bank. And boom, there it is. Sure he's a NI but at 28-29, I sure wouldn't break the bank for him.
  5. If your vets are taking stupid penalties its usually out of frustration. And it most times goes further than just play. Just ask anyone who has played the game. Lowry seemed to have a decent first game with the Moose, is he getting the message or has a weight been lifted...
  6. That's not pushing the panic button? What a joke! how do you know he doesn't have control of the locker room, are you in there? Might be good if you think before you post.So how do you explain the fact they are not playing the same scheme as last year? It was brought up almost ad nauseum the past month. They should be progressing not regressing. They arent as defensive minded and take stupid penalties at costly times. It more than often shoots them in the foot. They have trouble sustaining leads. Maybe it is you that needs to do the thinking... I actually agree with you here. I think Maurice is part of the problem for sure but Maurice knows how to kiss the fans asses so he's not talked about. Over playing Veterans. Penalties. Thor and Peluso. The special teams. Lack of accountability to the vets who take those dumb penalties. Maurice is for some reason ignored in all this tho. Not sure why. He's a career .500 coach. He has huge flaws. Go talk to Carolina fans or leafs fans about Maurice. Talks a good talk but is slow to adjust in game and relies on vets way too much. I wouldn't fire him tho. I'd trade some of the vets first. If that didn't do it... yup I'd fire him. Maurice loves winnipeg tho so that's all people will remember here. Something that the common fan doesn't even know is Maurice had a huge say in who stayed or went this off season also. Maurice will be fired one day... probably sooner rather than later also. Probably won't be coaching here in 2 years regardless of length of contract Yup agreed, accountability should go beyond just the players. I wouldn't be quick to fire him either but he isn't exactly a winningest coach either. We have talent for sure but if the results aren't there, we have to look at all possibilities, including the coach. Maurice was an upgrade over Noel for sure but it wasn't like we had a Scotty Bowman type of replacement. Yes a certain amount falls on the players but the coach deserves some accountability too.
  7. Or that he's cleaning up others mistakes.
  8. I could see Waggoner or Sherman at safety (didn't he play there for the Bisons?) Sherman is a good player, shame if we can't find a way to get him on the field some how.
  9. He'd be picked up pretty fast. Versatile, quick, returns punts very well, solid defender...yup he wouldn't be on the market long.

  11. I keep seeing Arceneaux straight-arming Washington and throwing him to the turf like a limp ragdoll. While embarrassing to witness, I still loved it because Washington sucks. What? Washington has been one our best defenders, plus one our best kick returners, what games have you been watching? you might be over valuing him here... good player? Sure... but if I had to list our best defenders he would be behind (in no particular order) Westerman, Bass, Wild, Leggett, Adams, Randle, and Johnson... I think you're under valuing him. He made a lot plays and a lot he shouldn't have had to.
  12. You want Randle to replace J. Adams? After he had 6 int's last year? There's 2 corners on the field... Yes but I'm hoping D.Jones takes that spot. One spot we could use a NI starting.
  13. Did Armia even play while he was here? What was the sense in calling him up?
  14. Harris a couple years ago would get me stoked. Get past his NI status and its a 'meh' kind of situation.
  15. He looks like he's fitting in nicely, tuning in his D game and you think he's a bum? Pretty sick deke move last game, its obvious he has elite skill plus he's only what, 23? Smh
  16. Washington closes in fast, the fact he got stiff armed by someone like Arse-in-hole should not be a measuring stick of his abilities.

  19. Not to push the panic button but how long until Maurice gets the axe? It's obvious he doesn't have control of the locker room anymore...
  20. such an *******... Maybe Milt banged his wife. Friesen is by far the worst it isn't even funny anymore. Maybe this is why Sun Media is staring death in its face.
  21. A big part of why he made the team in his first year was that he was physical, making hits. Maybe his conditioning is off, or maybe he got complacent or maybe he's playing with an undisclosed injury... Or...or...or Not a fan of this move but who knows, maybe be comes back with fire in his eyes piss in his veins. **/fingers crossed
  22. The problem on PP is they try to be too fancy, too many passes. And when you take a shot, take one that will get rebounds.
  23. Postma is prone to bad mistakes. We have enough D-men with speed, Pardy is a better option.
  24. Unless they are predicting a big trade re: Ladd or Byfuglien... Dun dun dun
