  1. It's very difficult to observe the routes our receivers ran last year by watching on TV. But I was told, from an observer field level, that the routes were run practically to the same depth, which of course, makes little sense. Now, if there are STHs, or even casual game by game observers who can confirm or dispute that, please, let us know. It would explain a lot about the failings of that offence. That's absurd and can't say I saw that at all. Always deep routes, intermediate. Fewer deep throws after Willy went down because the QB's weren't good/comfortable, including Nichols. If the routes were ran at the same depth all the time you literally would complete about 20% of your passes maybe. That's someone with an agenda IMO. Damn. Should have kept Bellefeuille. A bit different, even with a supposed upgraded O-line, a healthy Willy, he still couldnt generate functional offense.
  2. Pierce had already started regressing by the time he came here. Injuries had taken their toll and bringing him here reeked of desperation at the time IMO.
  3. Not to pump up the hiring but a lot of success and failure also depend on injuries, personel, locker room attitude etc, things mostly out of control of the coordinator.
  4. Two things I do like about this signing. 1.) We acted fast and didn't have to wait to pick from the scrap pile. 2.) We got an experienced sought after guy who actually wanted to come here.
  5. And with the way our offense performed last year you'd trust someone with minimal experience try and work some magic with them? I would like someone up and coming too, just not at this point.
  6. There isn't one glaring answer out there that would an obvious better choice over LaPolice, so why not see how this plays out.
  7. Our offense will be better (how could it get worse) and there will be people eating their words and people will still find something else to b**** about.
  8. LaPolice fired twice by the Bombers...yes but different regimes.
  9. I think this signing made the most sense.
  10. Surprised he didn't get the assistant HC title ..yet
  11. What was our run defense ranked last year? I think our MLB could've and should've been a difference maker, IMO
  12. Much to my chagrin Eddie Steele re-upped with the Esks. a couple of months ago. Of all the MB. players to pursue he would have been at the top of my list as a much needed Natl. What about Donny O?Rotational player at best. Not sure he's even an upgrade on Jake Thomas We badly need someone up front that is more than just a pass rusher. Someone to push the pocket.
  13. Well looks like the Bombers have asked the Eskies for permission to speak to Jarious Jackson. Jackson is waiting for Jones' decision first. Jackson would be an interesting option for OC

  15. Ted Laurent or Eddie Steele would be nice
  16. I wasn't too impressed with Peach this year, the trade A.Hall for Neufeld wasn't worth it IMO. But there are some interesting names of potential FA's out there. Sewell comes to mind...
  17. Sorry if this doesn't warrant a new thread... Our D-line has been a problem since Doug Brown retired. We haven't had that type of presence up front since and it's shown. Our D-line gets little to no pressure and exposes our smaller LB's. With free agency pending is there anyone to help fill that need? B.Turner seems to be regressing without Z.Anderson by his side. "Swaggerville" was in it's heyday when we had great pressure up front. Imagine how many picks J.Adams might have bad if he had a few more seconds...
  18. Byfuglien and Kitchon and 4th rounder for Hamonic....
  19. One timers are an art, Ovechkin is the only money scorer that has one. Buff has a decent one but people picked up on that, be interesting if they moved him to the slot to give him the chance...
  20. People talking about scouting as a question mark. How many times did we see a player signed only to be replaced by another player during the season? To me that says they are always actively recruiting and have guys on their wish list pegged a lil higher than others. I like that in a scouting team.
  21. Harris is the only one of that bunch that would give them a bona fide number one starter.
  22. I imagine teams have done their homework already on potential candidates and have an idea of who they want and how they rank them on their wish list. As a fan I would like to see K.Jones or J.Jackson or possibly M.Brady here next year as our OC. They all seem to be on the cusp of being very good OC's.
  23. Montreal makes the most for Harris, I dont see them hitching the wagon to Glenn, their QB situation is pretty shaky. BC might be interested, let Johnson develop even more and let Lulay go. Sask might be interested given that Durant is coming off a bad injury but would they seem to love the guy so would Harris be happy making a lateral move to be a backup again?
  24. if in doubt throw to 85 might not be as good of a strategy now as during his playing daysAlmost every former QB turned position coach had their "go to guy" but didn't necessarily define their abilities to be good coaches.
