  1. Well Medlock was 3/3 (100%) over those two games...?
  2. The secret to winning is constant, consistent management.” -- Tom Landry Sorry I guess it won't let me quote your tagline.
  3. Pessimists complain the wind is heading in the wrong direction. Optimists hope it will change - realists actually adjust the sails.
  4. Montreal right now is Exhibit A of what a good defense can do for you
  5. Technically not true, good ole Saskatchewan made the playoffs for a stretch of ten straight years from 1967 to 1976 inclusive, without winning a Grey Cup. Oh by the way, they are the only team currently active that has made the playoff that many years consecutively and failed. Should be noted though that they did win it in 1966, so the point is kind of moot.
  6. Hate to be "that guy", but technically since 6 of the 9 teams make the playoffs every year, it's actually harder not to make the playoffs... regardless of competency.
  7. That's not true, we beat Edmonton in preseason week 2 hah
  8. Obligatory toilet bowl reference. Sorry, too lazy to get a photo... use your imagination.
  9. What? The game was still a one-score game with 9 minutes left in the 4th (15-22) and with 2 minutes left in the 4th (18-25)... certainly giving up +500 yards isn't ideal, but up until that point the D had pretty much solely kept the Bombers in that game. I'm not saying our D is good by any stretch, but they did a kept the Stamps off the scoreboard for close to 50 minutes of the game. If the offense responds when it is 15-22 with a major, or even just a sustained drive - maybe they get the breaks they needed. Please don't try to make this nickname a thing... just... don't.
  10. So obviously Nichols didn't have a particularly stellar game against Calgary. That said, how bad was it? After the Stamps went up 32-18, this is what Nichols did in garbage time: 1st & 10 on WPG 19: 7 yard pass 2nd & 3 on WPG 26: 14 yard pass *** Pick 6 *** 1st & 10 on WPG 39: 11 yard pass 1st & 10 on WPG 50: 30 yard pass 1st & 10 on CGY 30: Incomplete pass 2nd & 10 on CGY 30: 4 yard pass 1st & 10 on CGY 13: Incomplete pass 2nd & 10 on CGY 13: 8 yard pass 1st & 3 on CGY 3: 3 yard TD to Adams So in total - 77 yards in the final 100ish seconds of trash time. His game total was 258 yards - 1 TD - 2 INTs... take garbage time away, and his already pedestrian stats slink down to 181 yards - 0 TDs - 1 INT. If that doesn't paint an ugly picture, I don't know what does.
  11. In university, there was a guy that I took Biology 1 with, he thought the final would be easy because it was 100% multiple choice. To discourage guessing, the scoring system penalized you with a -1 for an incorrect guess. Only guy I've ever known to end up with a negative % on his exam (-3%).
  12. This is like saying you improved on a math test by getting 42% instead of 33%.
  13. Meh, a sweep either way is possible. Perhaps the 'Riders escape from BC place last night will mean they're fat and happy heading into the LDC? One can only hope we catch them off-guard.

  15. I think maybe he's starting to see the writing on the wall... he also might have nightmares from how things turned sour in Edmonton. i think this is attributable to the fact that the turnaround when Willy took over was much more pronounced... even though the 2014 honeymoon start didn't last, they did at one point go from 3-15 in 2013 to a 5-1 start (albeit against weaker Eastern opponents). Nichols has done well for the team, but from the perspective most fans I think they consider the rest of the team much more competent than when it was Willy or bust. That said though - there's still no excuse Nichols throwing his receivers under the bus like that. Considering O'Shea is supposedly a "player's coach" he needs to have a chat with Nichols, that stuff is not on, and looking the other way for any player - QB or otherwise, will be seen as favouritism by other players and cause Mike to quickly lose the room.
  16. Yeah - I don't follow the CFL because the players are good, I watch it because the games are exciting. Even when the teams aren't performing at their best (or fielding the best teams).
  17. Too many men, Saskatchewan. Man, that punchline never gets old. 🤣
  18. Did someone mention SPEEEEEEEEEEDYYYY B?
  19. Unlike our head coach, I am man enough to admit I made a mistake. My apologies.
  20. C'mon BC! You suck, but do us a favour and mop the floor with the 'Riders.
  21. I understand the board's overall mood is at a new low right now ... but this good sir, is nothing short of blasphemy.
  22. Interesting quote from Bob on the post-game show: When the coach starts listening to the fans, he'll soon be sitting with them.
  23. If this continues, Matt Nichols is going to find out just how loud the loudest fans can be in the Banjo Bowl
  24. He hasn't been the same since his ring-finger injury that he played through. The injury at the start of this year certainly did not help.
  25. Obviously its' rigged against the 'Riders... did you see Mr. Dee's post? They aren't even mentioned in it!
