Or, we could actually expect our media people to be a little more knowledgeable about the stuff they're reporting on than the average fan.

fyp.

Wouldn't you rather SEE how the O-line is improving, instead of having a coach try and explain why they will be? Talk, as they say, is cheap.

To me. the question was framed in such a way that he was fishing for the response the Wiley gave him. Makes it more compelling and more compelling is good. Much better than asking in a dry, boring way that produces facts only. No fun and no drama in that.

You're not that reporter, are you?

Actually, it is a free country, but I think that you're mistaken about what that actually means. This is a private forum and each of us is here because Rich allows it. He can rescind that privilege for any user, at any time and for any reason. Here's hoping...

Hey, no worries. Feel free to use whatever pronoun you want, just do it on Esksfans and let us Bomber fans talk in peace.

A couple of things to point out. Burris has more experience that anyone else in the league, so the fact that he's able to get up to speed quickly should not be surprising. Also, I recall seeing Burris playing right through the season last year, not finishing his season in August. I know that's the case because I can remember Burris whining that people were being so mean every time someone hit him. Willy though, finished his season in August, so there's a lot more rust to shake off. Again, I recognize that the O didn't look like world beaters yesterday, but it's early, too early to start the hand wringing stuff. Because you know what? Burke is right, the pre-season is all about evaluation so let's just see what we'll see once the bodies start flying for real.

The fact that O'Shea lets a guy know he's cut and then gives him a day to process it/call his family etc, before announcing it to the world is not a bad thing. We can wait a day.

On a related note, I'm really disappointed that Andrew Harris is allowing himself to be knocked down on almost every single running play. He needs to go.

Well, this was a good attempt, but because we already have a poster that wants Willy cut and cut now, this post cannot be nominated for dumbest post of the year. It can however receive honourable mention in the "let's not really think things through after a loss, panic and post award" for the month of June. Let's see: Willy has not played football since last August. In the first pre-season game, he was very limited in the number of reps he got. That means that essentially, he was coming in cold for the Ottawa game, working with new receivers in a new system and yet he didn't light it up and look like the second coming of Ricky Ray. I for one am shocked and dismayed. Clearly the entire team needs to disband immediately and we must all declare our undying loyalty to the Eskimos. Seriously, take a chill pill, wait for a few games and then see where we are.

Well, panic sets in early for some. Pre-season. Say it with me now "Pre-season!" If they're looking like this after four or five games, then we'll have something to fret about. Oh and we're not even into the regular season but we already have a real battle going for dumbest post of the year between "Kicker gets paid too much" and "Willy should be cut first". People are going to have to work hard to top those two.

Clearly - a new world man...

Ya, that's rich. A fan right to the bitter end.

I seriously hope that you are just trying to troll with that post because if this is really your opinion then... wow, just... wow.

Ummm, a great catch happens when the receiver has to do something dramatic in order to catch it. On the other hand, if a receiver is running down field and the QB lays it in perfectly over his shoulder, that's not a great catch, it's a great throw. I expect receivers to make a catch in that circumstance and I'm not going to go "Oh WOW! You see that? He caught it while he was running!" Unless of course, it's Brock Ralph or Incompleterson. The professional will make the circus catch because sometimes, you have to. That's how it's supposed to work.

Is Henoc Muamba pi**ing away his football career?

Seeing that: 1) You have previously declared that you are no longer a Bomber fan 2) You think the CFL is a joke Why do you still bother to post on a Bomber/CFL board? It really doesn't make sense for you to waste time on things that you have declared that you don't care about. -

Not all at once... -
Kyle Walters? Now, if you are talking Kent Austin or Chris Jones, then talking about giant ragers is completely logical.
-
So... not judging or anything, but do the two of you talk about giant ragers a lot?

I tend to agree with this one. Or at least, there should be something in the stadium dedicated to him and his story. -

Congrats to you. It's hard work, I know. My last jersey was a (very tight) 4X, I was in there today and found that a 2X now fits comfortably. I didn't know about the magic of bacon though so I went with old fashioned walking (and surgery) -

I think Leo Lewis and Jack Jacobs are equally deserving. -
I'm at the other end of the spectrum. I'll be in Winnipeg on Wednesday finishing up a conference and my family wants me to stay and take in the game as an early Father's Day present. So I guess I'm going even though I'd much rather just go home and come back in once the regular season starts. But, at least I'll be able to pick up a new jersey. Quick question, where do you buy game day tickets at the stadium. I've been there but I've never noticed where the ticket office is.
