I thought the CFL couldn't meddle with a coaching hire like they can with player contracts. http://www.sportsnet.ca/football/cfl/hamilton-tiger-cats-fans-saved-team-art-briles/ So from my understanding- Ambrosie didn't tell them they couldn't hire and vetoed the contract- but it was more about Ambrosie driving down to tigertown and convincing the owners and decesion makers that it was a terrible hire and please don't do it.
