  1. Past hour
  2. O'Shea general strategy is vets don't need to be injured to miss practice and vets don't need to be healthy enough to help the team to play. I think you're right its 10. I got a bit mixed up counting the fullback as the 11th. But that fullback won't be on the field that often.
  3. Today
  4. It's oshea, vets don't need practise and he'll never tell if it's anything major anyway.
  5. Yep. Hope Schoen is just a bit tight or some thing, not that his injury from last year is still lingering.
  6. Also, Ford is not a raw rookie. He was in our system for a year before leaving. He should be way ahead of the rookie curve.
  7. For sure... it wasn't just one play... but going back to the point @Colin Unger was making... despite all the mistakes the Bombers made in that game... it still could've been ended on the spot if we knock down that 3rd and 5 wobbler Same with 2022... despite the poor all around game the Bombers played... they got the ball back with a minute left and only needed a FG to win it... both games were there for the taking
  8. well the Winnipeg Transit website is down, I can't even get through to telebus (makes me wish they didn't shut down the Text service), either that storm this morning caused some sort of outage or it got hit by a cyber attack (those are my theories anyway) and 311 is down too computers and printers are down at the libraries #CityOfWinnipegDown
  9. There were plays even before that if made, or appropriate healthy players were actually playing (both sides of ball) we at that point are walking away with that game and that TD is a moot point...
  10. True... but if Houston makes that play, it's likely going to OT... if Parker makes the previous play, it's game over just curious how you get to 11... If Gauthier plays I count ten potentially ... Gauthier, Kramdi, Ford, Lawson, Oliveira, 3 OL, Demski, and Woli
  11. hope to god we dont start 11...no reason to...and why make us a weaker squad than need be? Houston pooched the winning TD toss...poor recognition and it cost us...Rose makes that play
  12. I stand corrected about Houston. It was Parker on the 3rd and 5 and Houston on the game winning touchdown. I still believe that some of the poor play from our secondary in that game was as a result of the decision to dress Bighill ahead of an extra DB. We had db's getting injured in that game and playing hurt. Could have had Rose available. I wasn't intending to blame the whole game on Houston/Parker... Im just saying that despite the coaching mistakes to play Bighill and Scheon we still were in a position to make one stop and we would have won.
  13. No Schoen at practice, marking two days in a row for him (credit DT)....
  14. I believe it was Parker that got burnt on the 3rd and 5 shot... this is all correct... but the point Colin was making is despite all of that... we still could've won the game with one makable play
  15. If Gautier starts at MLB by my count that's 11 Canadian starters in week 1. I wonder when was the last time that happened in the CFL. Would be kind of a neat achievement to see them start 12 Canadians and 12 Americans.
  16. That’s thoughtful and you’re not wrong about any of those instances. My roster management thing is more like: If our interior DL was able to push the pocket, we would have won that cup against Montreal by 10+, making those other what-ifs irrelevant.
  17. Cant wait. Likely wont go near the place for a month though. Cant even imagine how insane the lines are going to be.

  19. I’m not worried about that with ford. In general with the cfl a slow db developmental path is full tc full year on pr then 2nd tc. After that 2nd tc dbs should be ready. You seldom see imp dbs get more time than that. And having sat in the nfl id have the same expectations for ford as any imp. if he isn’t up to it, he probably wouldn’t ever make it as a starter but with his tool set and passport could be a backup and teams guy still. But I think he’ll be good. Loved what he did in that late season game. We really have a super athletic group of NIs. From Dobson dunking, to ford to the new crop of guys.
  20. Curious to how fast Ford can get up to speed. A year of PR is not the same as playing each week. Although, he was out of camp early. So, even further back?
  21. So sounds like Ford and McGee at the corner spots for now. Curious to see how both do. Ford looked good in that one game he started and McGee has a good college resume and did have a year on our pr to learn.
  22. If Brady doesn’t fumble in the red zone….. If Holm doesn’t miss the assignment forcing Bighill into a “second too late” back-up coverage over the middle on that Montreal TD…… If Collaros makes the proper check down read to Demski on the goal line instead of underthrowing Lawler by 6 inches for a crushing end zone pick….. If Willie J doesn’t overrun contain on Fajardo on 2nd and 19 and make a sack instead of a 15 yard scramble to set up a manageable 3rd and 4 on the last drive…… If that 3rd down deep pass gets knocked away…. If that game winning TD pass is 6 inches lower and hits the turf or 6 inches higher and gets knocked away….. If……. That’s why I will disagree with the “roster management” narrative peddled by some around here by and large. Our roster that has been put together has been good enough to go to 4 straight Grey Cups, something no team has done in over 40 years. In the end it wasn’t the player A over player B dressing in the 42nd, 43rd or 44th place on the roster costing us the game, it was mistakes by the stars who are no-brainers to be on the roster and who carried the team all year who just did not get it done on that day. Sports…….
