  2. Coaching/teaching at the pro level is no easy task. With out question he could provide value as a coach at some level. if that level is pro or not we won’t know. Other wise we’d be loaded with great position coaches, and we aren’t. your right, that is pretty rare. Usually, the guys who do make that move spend a couple years filling gaps in front office and coaching staffs till earning spots. that’s very interesting agree with most of that. My concern with hogan is he showed some serious red flags with fairly low to moderate pressure.
  3. O'Shea said its still to be determined if Jackson is going to be back.
  4. I think it's up. igniificantly. Plus we had a lot of wiggle room to sign Brady & Demski. I think most of that is gone now.
  5. I have no idea if it's common, I don't follow it anywhere near to know but when it does happen it reminds me that $$$ trumps actually seeing the playing field. I write that with nuetrality in my tone.
  6. It was probably sarcasm. Cautiously optimistic about Condell, but im guessing he was plan B after Miller took the Argos head coaching job. No idea why you would bring Hogan back in any capacity. Youve gotta figure there’s some animosity/bad vibe’s there with a few players. Pretty stupid decision.
  7. This is like the Giants & Jets moving from downtown New York to the Meadowlands, NJ about 20 or so miles away. It's in the Kansas City metropolitan area. Kansas City Kansas & Kansas City , MO may be two separate identities in 2 separate States so it's probably not a big deal to Chiefs fans in that way. KC is all one big city. Back in the day, before Winnipeg & the surrounding cities amalgamated in 1971, it would bave been like the Bombers having Winnipeg Stadium in St. James but not actually in Winnipeg. It was no big deal. They weren't the St James Blue Bombers. The sad part is the NFL losing an iconic football stadium like Arrowhead.
  8. From Our Man Tait in his latest piece.... Worth your click, as always: https://www.bluebombers.com/2025/12/22/__trashed/ "...And as for the decision to add Thomas to his staff, O’Shea said this about one of the most-respected people in the building — not just on the roster: “Love the guy. Can sit here right now and picture him hoisting the Cup in 2019. Extremely smart, passionate, good leader. A guy that just loved being around. There was a time where because of a contract issue he came late to training camp by I don’t know how many days, not much. But the whole practice stopped and everybody went nuts that he walked onto the field. “That right there speaks volumes about what everybody thinks about him. Not just from the players’ perspective, but in the entire organization.”
  9. One thing the CFL doesn't do is bring in more qualified Canadian coaches from U Sports. They'd rather promote an inexperienced player than a coach who may have also been a former CFL player but found success in coaching at that level that is ready to make the jump.
  10. WTF?! (The Chiefs have announced they’ve entered into an agreement with the State of Kansas to host Chiefs football beginning with the 2031 NFL season. The franchise is designing and building a domed stadium and Arrowhead Stadium will no longer be the home of the Chiefs following the 2030 season.)
  11. Today
  12. The only thing I'll say about Jake is he had one move. Bull rush. He held his head up with his left hand in his 3 point stance. .He just charged ahead & was pushed back. If he coaches technique like that... He would have been better served to coach at the U Sport level & learn his craft. Maybe come back in 4 or 5 years. Coaching is a lot different than playing. Hogan should have been shown the door but I guess they felt bad for him & felt they owed him a spot.
  13. That was the worst. Years of fans wishing they'd show up. Look up Mulamba & Bilukudi in any CFL & NFL stats book. See if you can even find them. They led both leagues in Most Invisible & I Don't Give A **** categories.
  14. Most teams would waive Nyquist and Pearson and prob Schenn to the minors. Toews possibly also. I think I’d tank this season. It’s a good draft. We need young talent. Yager has potential. Chibrikov also. Salo I like lots. Dom the goalie looks good. But outside of that not much currently on the moose. Couple interesting prospects in the ohl and ncaa. Top 4 D for sure in Sasha and possibly top 6 center in Walton. Top 9 let’s say. He looks good also but He won’t be ready for a few seasons. We lack tho a top 3 forward prospect tho currently. Yager definitely top 6 potential but he’s not that big either so. You need a top 5 pick. Ideally win the draft and get a franchise player.
  15. 55 has this look like and I thought JT was gonna be good for us look to him. He’s so wide eyed out there currently. It’s all him kfc and Vilardi. Barron kicking in now but Arniel refusing to play Barron at 2 center is just a crime now. Perfetti Barron (moose player) As line 2 would be solid as heck and young with potential to grow. it’s time for Chevy to waive Nyquist Pearson and maybe even Toews to the moose or trade them and play the younger guys. Schenn and miller also. Maybe Demelo even and give Salo a shot with Morrissey. Heinola is not the answer as I was at a moose game and he’s slow AF. I liked Yager tho.
  16. This past year was our first time not in the cup final in 6 seasons. so I’m not sure many other teams are really doing better off than us in any way.
  17. Plus guys don’t just decide to become coaches immediately after retiring. This was obviously something that has been there for a while. It’s more about the talent and scheme with the DL tho so improve that and DL should get better. Need a couple solid ends and defensive tackles. Be interesting to see if Willie and Vaughters are brought back. In thinking one only. The kids looked good at the end there so maybe they are starting for us also. But find a couple more. KMB looked like a player also so maybe you bring back Willie and play him way less. Let Vaughters go tho.
  18. Not to mention the coaching he received while playing 15 or so years on the DL. To think he couldn’t pass that knowledge on is laughable.
  19. Are you argueing that BC has done better on not overpaying than us? I'd say the Rourke, Betts, Hatcher etc deals, being 300k over the cap in 2024 and how cheap they have gone at many spots on D says otherwise. I agree we've done poorly in this area but I don't think BC has done better.
  20. Yes. Exactly. One, Two, Three, Four! Everybody's talking about Bagism, Shagism, Dragism, Madism, Ragism, Tagism This-ism, that-ism, ism ism ism All we are saying is give Jake a chance
  21. Winnipeg is more affordable for a cfl player than Vancouver tho. The money goes farther here. Honestly I’d avoid bc Toronto and Montreal if I was a player coming up to play in Canada or even grew up here. Not every player tho wants to play in his hometown. Dude is off in Detroit which is closer to Winnipeg than Vancouver right now.
  22. Pat Riley, Phil Jackson, Rick Carlisle, Steve Kerr are all guys who are or were great NBA coaches who were also journeyman pros. All we are saying is give Jake a chance.
  23. Of course, I'm not saying that. BC got rid of Adams as soon as they could & dropped Awe to afford Sankey. They gave Rourke a bunch O marketing money to make his contract work, which was absolutely brilliant. Teams can 'overspend' on single players maybe even 2, but when they 'overspend' on more than that, especially at the QB spot, the highest paid player, then they run into SMS issues.
