  2. Looks like BC is starting most of their first stringers so should give a good test for the defense to see who stands out when they are in. Most of BC's starting defence has been left home so this should be a good even test for todays BB offence (who are mostly second stringers), looking forward to this evenings game!
  3. yup...one starter...one DI and smart roster management is to keep 2 minimum on PR
  4. The agreement with CBS expires after this year. It's a piddling amount anyway. Each teams get just over a hundred grand a season.

  8. I can't share the link, but Luke Willson is all kinds of mad at us long time CFL fans.... Aka "potatoes" (... apparently....)
  9. 2 profitable teams was good enough. Watching the world of sports broadcasting leave the league behind was good enough.
  10. At least, for the most part but debatable of course, taxes go back into infrastructure, healthcare, social services etc. With this move by the CFL my cynical side thinks capitalist pigs.
  11. The CFL the way it was, was good enough. Getting all the games by paying for one subscription was good enough. No globals was good enough.

  13. lol Castillo + another asset for a QB would be the steal of the decade. Not a chance that happens.

  15. You can work 5 qbs in pre season, we've done it before. Lets be real, no one was passing TE and probably not Perkins either unless he totally turned to dog water. The decision to throw 99% of game reps to 2 qbs isn't normal. He is a guy who could rush from a 3 tech spot and play inside out like many tweeners we've had in the past. But we haven't really given him a ton of reps doing that. I hope to see it today though. And Fletcher could do the same. His versatility is his biggest advantage imo. If reese plays smarter, his explosivity is extremely coveted. And Dixon is the best of the young guys vying for that spot. 1 guy will start and another guy should be a DI. Then we should keep probably 2 on the PR. That group is lead by Dixon, Jenkins, Fletcher, and Reese. I also think Arnold Young has a real chance to steal AR reps.

  18. I didn't even wanna say that haha, but possibly. Its too early to jump on the lidster train that hard, but I can see it happening. Given every thing, I'd probably want an asset back in a castillo for dru trade. Sergio was very good last year, he's in his prime for a K, and he's money. Plus he can punt as well.

  20. If they make money now...and it has some success...even limited....it's a bonus and all good Of when the contract runs it's course, and the DAZN peeps feel they no longer wanna be a part of it...then so be it and you will adjust your teams revenue stream and everything involved accordingly....won't be demise of anything, and in that time maybe there will be new different options too....guess we shall see But going status quo with TSN as the sole distributor of the product had to change/shift, unless they did a total overhaul/revamp of how they go about it...and that was never happening. So the CFL is trying to branch out and find new ways and means to promote and get the product out there, and have added a buttload of cash to the teams in doing so...which isnt a bad thing by any stretch
  21. There's room for both if we dont totally do something dumb with roster And thinking both will be on as they can both slide inside
  22. I think he's in an active battle with Dixon to be a rotational DL.
  23. what's the deal with Kayden Jenkins... I know he showed some promise in the game 18 last year... however, I noticed he's listed at 275 this year (up from 260 last year)... I wonder if he has positional versatility, with the option to move inside sometimes due to his size and low centre of gravity...
  24. Honestly, this wouldn’t shock me. These are the moves we’ve seen in the first few months. What happens when things stagnate? They’ll have to create more outrage.
  25. The Cats let the best Center leave for Edmonton to sign Kolankowski.
  26. It's one game a week. Not anentire season. If people are willing to stop watching the CFL over this then the league might as well just fold up its tent. Canadians sure like to ***** & complain about everything. Nothing is ever good enough. I'm on the fence as to whether I'll get DAZN but if I don't I won't stop watching.
  27. It still makes more sense to do this than what Ambrosie tried. If the CFL can make some money internationally then why not? Do you think some casual fan in Europe who doesn't know a first down from a hash mark is going to pay attention to whether it's 3 or 4 downs? It'll look the same so they probably don't know the diffence anyway. I think despite the sellouts when the NFL plays around the world it's still a niche sport compared to the popularity of soccer & hockey.

  29. The International market is a dream that will never exist. IF Europe or China were to suddenly enjoy Football... why would they watch the CFL when the NFL is already much more international and has way more appeal. It's a phantom market that doesn't exist. Canada is the only market that the CFL can exist and maybe some day thrive again.
  30. After thinking more of about this deal, I think it's a short term money burst until they gut the league and try to scam some American cities into making a new league which ultimately will kill everything off. Beginning of the end of the CFL. I fully expect in 2028 they get rid of Canadian players and try to expand to the US market. Also 4 downs.
  31. From your keyboard to the powers that be.... May we all manifest it.
  32. Unfortunately it was suicide. His son (one of his sons) found him at 3am at the family warehouse in Florida. Never cared for Claude or Brendan. Just dirty players but mental health certainly affects ppl with and without money.
  33. Could be that Dru comes home after Zach's retirement..kind of like a lot of us envisioned. But who knows
