From Sportsnet: “I mean, I can't generate offence,” said Wolf, the Flames' franchise player, frustrated by his club’s inability to convert more than one of the 37 shots directed at Jakub Dobes. “I do my job, I try to keep the puck out of our net, and hope that our guys can generate a couple. I'm glad we got one there. We got a point, but we’ve got to keep working to find more offence.” He's right but my first reaction was jerkface throwing his teammates under the bus. I rarely if ever hear a player (some coaches do yes) throw his goaltender under the bus in public if the goaltender is struggling. This looks good on the Flames though, now do the Leafs and Wild next please and thank you.

Bombers-Als Pre Game Discussion

Pretty impressive season from a fan standpoint and I *think* it's the first full season sellout since we've been at Princess Auto. -
I think the offense is going to want to rinse the awful taste out of their mouth and prove they can actually move the ball, so I expect the 1s to play a couple series... Almost like a pre season game... Then make way for the 2s and 3s.

Looks like the Bombers are going to get their sellout. About 30 tickets left to purchase on ticketmaster. Should be a nice day for football, about 13 at kickoff but a bit windy. I'm just happy because mercifully my kid's soccer tournament didn't schedule her a game on Saturday. FWIW I think you need to go out there and play a full game. I get wanting to keep people healthy or playing for a matchup, but the reality is they haven't played really well in a month... and then even before that back in August. They are on a stretch of 4-4... that first win was against an injured Als team and then you have the 3 pass win against Ottawa, you smoke the Ti-Cats and then barely limp to a win against the B-Squad Riders. They need string 3 good games in a row which they haven't done since the start of the season... might as well make it 4 and start it on Saturday.

Maybe Stanley is starting to figure it out. Time will tell though.

So a couple feel good points but nothing substantial - got it. For you in BC, getting to Montreal or Hamilton might be more of an issue but not for people in Winnipeg. Besides, a handful of Bomber fans in attendance does what for the club? I can't see a huge turnout in any city with the way this team has played this season. Regina might be the only exception to that due to location though. MOS will tell you (as any HC would) that the team will always be playing to win, regardless of who is on the field so I don't think they earn any extra respect there. I'd respect him more for giving back-ups some playing time rather than risking injury to key players in a fairly meaningless game. For me, the upside to 4th is being as healthy as possible and facing either a QB getting his first taste of playoff action or a team we just thrashed a few weeks earlier. We may also get a slightly higher draft pick if nothing else (barring a miracle GC run).

no word yet if Winnipeg will host one of those screenings https://www.tvline.com/2004971/stranger-things-series-finale-movie-theater-release-date/

A better record. Respect for playing to win. Momentum. More Bomber fans will attend games in Calgary, Regina or Vancouver than Montreal or Hamilton. It shouldn't be necessary to explain this to you.

Yea exactly after 5 years in row going to the show, it’s time to give and not take.

So it looks like Home Hardware will be moving into the Pembina Peavy Mart Wonder if it will go into ours (mostly because it would be nice to have one close by whenever Scene+ does its gameboard)

I'll add Vaval against Veresuk for ROY. Also Kiondere Smith should have been Hamilton's MOC.

Lawson Jr would have been my defensive pick. Who else could make so many tackles while falling down? -

Nobody stood out on D but holm is definitely Mr consistent so that’s a fine choice to me. Jones has a bunch of tackles but like 3 is for no gain or a loss. -
The kraken animal is cool. **** the hockey team. I’d love to see one on a cruise one day.

Well it looks like it was shut down pre-maturely because it's back on....and thank God I'll get to say my goodbyes
