  1. Past hour
  2. I think the fact that he is taking the request from Toronto does indicate he is heavily considering it. I wouldn't make that choice if I were him. But I am pretty far removed from his way of thinking. I agree, we need a big shake-up. I still think it's harder to replace the HC than the GM in the CFL today. But pound for pound I believe Walters has done a much better job. His primary problems have been giving in too much to the coaching staff and not being the boss enough.
  3. Already have according to Naylor.
  4. He’s gone imo. Pinball will offer him the world and likely make him assistant GM. And im actually more than ok with it. Coaches have a shelf life. The team has gotten old and stale. Ive grown beyond tired of his arrogant smugness. Ive pretty much hated his brain dead gameday rosters/player usage and his in-game decision making for years now. Time for a change/new blood.
  5. For a lateral job, when his contract expires at the end of this year. Otherwise, they have to get permission like this. I worry about that too. In-house, I think Hall or maybe they give the push to JY. But I don't really think either happens. Small chance at Walters taking over both jobs, with someone like Brock taking a larger role in the front office to support him. Jackson would be a candidate in theory, but Idk how you pass him for OC last year then make him HC this year. From outside, not a rehash I think we'd look at Archambault, Monsoon, probably talk to Maksymic / Mike miller since we did consider them for OC last year. A sleeper target, who is kind of a rehash, is Pete Costanza. Very good WR/RB coach and pass game coach for Toronto recently. I think he is a better candidate to jump to OC, but we might have to make a bigger jump than that, sadly. They could go full-on crazy and offer Milanovich the HC/GM role he is fishing for. Sounds like the contract only expires on the last calendar day of the year. But I imagine the coaching world has essentially a tampering period like free agency.
  6. Ok thanks, I was wrong. The crow is overcooked and needs more seasoning.
  7. That seems right... So that would be another week from today. So if they wanted to talk to him THIS week, they needed to ask permission... Or else wait until next week. But let's be honest... Rules or no, O'Shea and Pinball are old friends who both are likely to be hanging out this week during GC week. Conversations are going to happen, regardless. But Pinball being Pinball, is going to take the high road and keep up appearances...
  8. But O'Shea isn't under contract for 2026 is he? So presumably when the league year ends he would be a free agent
  9. The way he was moving did not look right.
  10. I know I am speculating but if MOS leaves, who do you think they hire? Personally, I worry they hire a retread.
  11. Today
  12. Not 100% on the rules but Naylor said on TSN on Saturday "One team can't officially ask for permission until one week after the other team has been eliminated".
  13. When would he normally be able to negotiate with the Argos? On Monday?
  14. If he leaves, we have to be timely in our actions. We can't wait till shortly before FA to finalize things.
  15. Argos have officially asked for (and received) permission to talk to Mike O'Shea, according to Naylor...
  16. Ive yet to see anything that even suggests the ball touched the ground.
  17. IF the very tip of the ball touched the turf it's definitely 'no catch'...Could chalk it up to 'inconsequential evidence' BUT in a game of that magnitude evidence that it was not a td has to be brought forward...The result was 'shady' at best
  18. MBT did have a great game against the Riders earlier this year.

  20. the pick that BLM threw early in the second quarter that killed a promising Hamilton drive -- he was staring Lawler down all the way.
  21. So what's Alexander doing all this week to prepare? Is it just living in the ice bath? There's nothing they can do in terms of medications right? It's not like you can shoot a guy up with all kinds of drugs (a la Dunigan in 1991)...
  22. Watching live I thought the DB was punching that out and now way he was catching it. No replay showed that clearly enough though. I did think it was funny that one of the Sask olineman did the no catch hand signal for a second before the refs ruled TD.
  23. That particular call is one of the best examples of why "the call on the field" should count for zilch when it comes to replay. There's not a single ref on the field in position to make a call on that play in that spot on the field through the bodies. I have a really hard time definitively going either way on it. In the next frame from that freezed shot his lower arm is under the ball. Seems like it's basically in his control. But it is moving.
  24. Yup. If they had got one first down they win.
  25. I can't believe the Lions bailed Mace out the way they did. He really thought... I need at least one touchdown to close out the game, its 3rd and 5 with 3 minutes left... I've already gone for it inside the 5 on third down this half and made it...but no, I am gonna kick a field goal and give the ball to the best offense in the league, with the presumptive MOP and I am going to get the ball back... and it worked! They got the ball back! And then they promptly throw 2 incomplete passes! 3rd down game is on the line but nah, it worked once, lets do it again! And the Lions go two and out again... and the 2nd down play call is so **** the CFL.ca play by play doesn't even count it so it looks like the Lions ran 1 play and then immediately punted it. And now the Riders need to make it 75 yards and score a touchdown in a minute and they do. Like... if the CFL had robust enough stats to calculate a winning percentage those plays would have affected it negatively. The Rider fans were even going for the exits!
  26. Yeah the replays tsn had made me think it was a good catch. Nothing super clear but nothing that made.me think they got the call wrong. Still comes down to offense and defense for BC had.ample opportunities to win that game and failed to do so.
