no team should continually run an RB up the gut...even the best of the best will fail more than not or get beat to a pupl when thats all you do...and especially with an inferior center We have next to zero variation of runs, and do nothing to play off certain looks and plasy...and when have we seen the Strev package do anything other than a straight hand off...or he keeps and trues to run between center and tackle No naked bootleg...him take off right away with RB in option position....or variations of any of that and him throw....pretty much....never And people wonder why that package sucks...or claim Strev just doesnt have it...he's been set up to fail and teams know exactly whats coming...its pretty easy to defend only 2 variations off a Strev package -
yea we suck at RPO and ZC isnt an ideal guy for it anyway....not at this point in his career...maybe his hamilton days....lil bit in 2021...not now We also avoid seam and crossers and blitz beaters like its the plague....inadequate OC part of that too....his play book is like a seasoned OC trying to hide his scheme in pre-season well with our lack of usefull Cdn depth after our starters...and Ball likely out too....I can see Bailey finally getting on....Which is a plus.....an yeah too bad for Schmeck as he finally seemed to find his game as a nice depth piece....he actually is one of our quickest guys off snap believe it or not and finally figured out how to attack and puncture gaps...Him spelling off lawson would have been Ideal and all we needed as cdn DT's With Schoen's issues....Hopefully we bring on Echols for him, and Pokey for Logan, as Echols is a good returner and can spell off Vaval... And how Woodbey showed last game, and his versatility and used how they I guess figured Ayers could of been...but wasnt....Possibly dropping Ayers for Adams or woods... Even tho Mitchell showed signs of life I wouldnt be oppose to dropping him and we roster both Woods and Adams and run with a Demski/Clercius/Pokey/Wheatfall/Echols unit

That sucks. He was just starting to come into his own. I hope this means by unfortunate means their hand is forced into de-nationalizing the DT spot.

To heck with stats or MOP awards. ZC played better than Vaj or Harris this weekend. When you conpare what he has to work with, he's the better QB. Based on this past weekend's games, in particular. -

vaj isn’t slightly above average. he hasn’t been that guy since he got to bc. We don’t though. on just 4 more attempts vaj has almost 500 more yards, 10.1 yards per vs 8.5, 105.9 qbr vs 98.5, 15/8 vs 13/11. Mop is likely between harris and vaj. -
we aren’t running that much rpo. suitor thinks every pa play is rpo, it isn’t. It’s pretty easy to identify when we do run rpo, because we aren’t very good at it. watch zachs head/shoulders. if he’s looking at brady, he isn’t reading any one on the D. when we run rpo, you can see him stare down the key play on D. usually you would read the edge and bootleg based on his angle or pursuit. For us, we’ve read sam/wil on medium short passes that are quick, and run what I call fake rpo. which is when you go to the huddle with a call change based on pre set alignment. Buck did a lot of this prior to last year to try and speed up getting the ball out. if the slot coverage (half, sam, wil) is too far off, zach throws a snag, hitch, screen etc. it’s a no signal check run from the snap. We used to try and do pin and pull rpos like that especially with strevy going back to lapo.

I always thought the Bombers should send up a drone on Banjo Bowl to capture all the activity around the stadium. As you mentioned, most people dont see all the tailgating that takes place as they are so spread out around campus.

A look at their offseason signings/ moves explains a lot, even taking the adams acquisition out: Acquired Orimolade - an all cfl end Green - Starting Canadian corner Webb - all cfl db (impact on their secondary similar to when we first got Alexander) T Jones, - dependable low cost reciever Rhymes - the list goes on Compare that to Mitchell,White,Logan, Jones, Hagarty, Vaughters etc. -
Thanks! It's nice to be acknowledged.

The Stamps are putting together a good season with a QB who's slightly above average Ironically, our QB is better by quite a bit -

There are a number of teams...against whom we are overmatched in the trenches Against some...they countered that by using Brady in different ways, and it worked I understand why they wouldn't run him up the gut very much, but it confounds why he doesn't get 15 - 20 touches in other ways -

Looking at our PR....there is probably 6 guys on it who are better and would offer more than what we rostered last game,,,,and we wonder why oir depth seems so shitty and our main guys at times appear to be gassed If some those main guys were now back-ups, or in rotation and some the dead weight was not rostered...we'd be a helluva lot better We sat Woods, Adams, J.Jones, Houston, Peterson, Echols I'm sure dumping some of or all of Logan, Cobb, Thomas, Lawson Jr. Ayers, Ball, Weitz for those guys would have not hurt us...likely made us immensely better, deeper.... -
Hey if you are going to give calgary credit for anything, their tailgate scene is really good. Debate where it ranks compared to other stuff sure, but the fans who do the tail gating know what they're doing

Really appreciate this booch and Gordo as we were planning ubering to the stadium. Any good bars (like Revival in Regina) where football fans party on BB weekend? -

Unfortunately not everyone is capable of that sort of introspection and change. I look at it from a perspective of what I know (broadcasting/announcing) but I'm sure we could all point to people in our given professions who are just not capable of making changes to their process. At some point in their past they enjoyed a measure of success and decided there was never a need to change. I look at someone like Rod Smith. He is who he is. Someone gave him a job which reinforced his confidence in his style/process and he has never changed his style and he never will. Unfortunately he really isn't very good. He may have been good enough when he was hired for his first PBP gig...but he's never even bothered to considered improving/changing. So we get endless repetition of already mentioned stats/facts and non sequiturs. MOS is who he is. He's had success being who he is. I think he feels confident that his process is fine and needs no modification. In his mind if there's issues they lie outside of him and his process. -
If you are going to the game from your hotel and want to save a few bucks you can take rapid transit instead of an uber/taxi. There is a bus stop across the street at the arena and the stadium bus comes by every 20 minutes on Saturday. Just make sure to take the Blue line to the UofM and not St Nobert. It's just over 30 minutes and 3.35 per person. Edit: this bus uses a rapid transit corridor for a good portion of the trip so it avoids most of the construction that Booch refers to.
