  1. Past hour
  2. I’m gonna guess he didn’t actually tear his acl against Calgary cuz no way would he play again soon. Not sure he’d be walking honestly even. Like dude should be a pro wrestler cuz that’s crazy tough if he legit played on a torn acl and only reinjured it on the 2 point convert and not when running on the field. How do you even reinjure your torn acl. You really don’t. It’s torn or it isn’t.
  3. Prepare to have drinks thrown on you, the back of your chair kicked, someone may pee on you or harass your wife. Oops sorry, I’m reading from the Rider fans LD playbook 😂
  4. Interestingly, their new head coach used to work for us 😁

  6. 2023 Grey Cup, two injured star Bomber players decide to “give it a go” with disastrous results IMO. Last year’s Grey Cup, our starting QB (who was already starting with a questionable ankle) injured his hand on a helmet and “gives it a go” (again not so good results). This year it’s Dalton again (not so good results if you consider the 2 point convert try). My question is, is this standard operating procedure in the CFL today despite all of the safety and other regulations built into the players association contract etc.? Also, I can’t recall the injury to Schoen in 2023 that was going to keep him out of that game before the Bombers surprised everyone with his insertion into that game. Could that (perhaps he wasn’t ready to play) or that mentality have contributed in some way to the injury he initially suffered this season? Is it possible the players association or the league would even look into this? I’m prolly just crazy for asking, of course everything was done above board 😉
  7. The guy tore a ligament in the same knee he had injured previously (after coming back relatively quickly all things considered....) and they let him go on the field with that ligament torn again.... how's that not an issue with what the medical staff and coaches are doing? I mean yeah rah rah Bombers, but this is a bad look and it's really hard to just hand wave away.
  8. This kind of thing can and does happen pretty much anywhere. Dalton Schoen just happens to be in the spotlight.
  9. Ottawa lives to Crumble another day.
  10. There are absolutely cases where health decisions from patients or doctors end up being the wrong decision or take a wrong turn. We don't have nearly enough info to be able to make a call on that in this situation.
  11. It looks like it'll be up to our Team President but even then, will he do anything?
  12. Uhhhh ever heard of the CRUMBACK?
  13. Yeah that's the thing... of course Schoen wanted to play, or at least he was willing to play. That's how players are wired. They need to be protected from themselves. The training staff and coaching staff both wear this because they have the responsibility to keep guys off the field if they aren't ready. I don't expect any accountability from the team because no one in the media challenges them. I watched the O'Shea presser from today and the first media guy to ask questions and the lady after him... yikes..... they both seem like they don't care or don't understand what they are seeing. I was waiting for someone to ask "why the hell was he even on the field?" but it never happened.
  14. I literally turned it off when Crum threw it out of bounds on 3rd and 20 with a minute and a half to go. I checked the score hours later and saw OTT won. That is unbelievable. BC has some serious problems on defence.
  15. BC secondary is horrible.
  16. Sad to hear of Ken's passing but it reminds me of a true story. I grew up in the suburb of Riverview in Soutrh Winnipeg. When I was 12, a family moved in across the street. The family name was Stephenson (Stef-en-son) as in former WHA Winnipeg Jet Defensemen Ken Stephenson. However, this was at least 3 or 4 years before the birth of the WHA. Ken was a member of Canada's National Hockey A Team. The number one team practiced & played out of Winnipeg. The B Team practiced & played out of Calgary & it was younger. The B Team developed those players to eventually move up to the team in Winnipeg. Father David Bauer was the GM & Jackie McLeod was the coach of the A Team. We won Bronze at the 1968 Grenoble Winter Olympics. We could have won silver or gold that year but the Russian Hockey Federation paid off the refs & they won Gold again. So Ken used to have his teammates over to his house every so often. When they did, it was like every kid in the neighbourhood knew & the players would come out & play street hockey with us. Dryden included. I could name names but with the exception of a few, you probably never heard of them. At the time, the most famous names would have been Roger Bourbonnais, Fran Huck, Red Berensen & Goalie Wayne Stephenson (Steve-en-son). Fran Huck later played for the WHA Jets while Berenson & Stephenson went on to play for the St. Louis Blues. While it was a thrill at age 12, 13 & 14 to play street hockey with members of Canada'a National Team (they never used the term Team Canada back then), I can't believe I did so with Ken Dryden. The team broke up in 1970 when Canada withdrew as host of the 1970 World Championships with Winnipeg as the host city. Dryden spent the 1969 & 70 seasons with the team then signed with Montreal. With the advent of the WHA in 1972, the talent pool to form two National teams just wasn't there anymore. Those players were great ambassadors for the game.
  17. You refuse to believe anything remotely negative lol I’m not sure who did it, but someone grossly mishandled Schoen’s health. And I don’t mean Schoen himself.
  18. Typical CFL game. Starts unwatchable and by the end you can't look away. I love this weird league.
  19. 90 at Larters today.... Windy and cold as hell!
  20. I refuse to believe our team doctors would risk their reputation (never mind their license!) over this. But hey it's all Osh's fault...
  21. How do you even bring these 2 wankers back with new contracts? You can't reward either of them.
  22. And thank goodness for that.....
  23. Walters. I believe his contract runs out at the end of the season. Just don't re-sign him.
  24. Should be grounds for dismissal.
