  1. Past hour
  2. its all i know and have ever seen/experienced....up to now
  3. A few little upgrades = bigger overall upgrade... seriously the margins in the cfl between winning and losing are generally pretty small. And, if you try your depth for underperforming players and they don't work out then you move on from them too and find better depth. You don't just shrug and go "oh well, it is what it is for the season"
  4. That's the type of ballsy attitude I'd like to see running the players......Booch you're hired
  5. Osh trust and loyalty would constitute no problem for us with proper GMing. That is undeniable because the proof is out there historically. I get that people are angry now that our talent is crap that MOS is using the same tactics and hasn't adjusted to the circumstances, and that is fair criticism. However, at the end of the day when provided the talent MOS has clearly demonstrated that he can coach a team to both win GCs and to be perennial favorites/finalists. There is no arguing that fact because it is entrenched in history. Could he have done better along the way...maybe. However, he brought us an unprecedented run of success with his style so again I ask what is truly the majority of the problem...talent or coaching? I think that it is very clear we do not have the talent....and yes what we do have is being further hampered by poor coaching decisions and coordination. I am fully in favor of firing our coaching crew if we don't make the playoffs. However, it had better come after a Walters firing or else we will just get more crap GMing. I would LOVE to see Walters replaced by Rigmaiden this offseason.
  6. Agreed, everyone's ability slides eventually. That's a good coaches job to recognize that. It gets into the " you're the head coach ,not their buddy " thing.
  7. Why do we need backups when our starters aren’t good enough. We need starters.
  8. I agree with this. We don’t indeed.
  9. You think we have a bunch of high level CFL starters sitting on our benches? I don't. You think Person, J.Jones, Woods, Bailey elevate us to a serious contender? They are all ham and eggers. I mean seriously, is this the crux of the debate? Is this who people are clamoring for? I'm not saying any and all of them don't necessarily represent an upgrade here or there but if so it would be very little of one and certainly not enough to win us the games we are losing. No one is defending MOS's coaching but I think there are a crap load of people here leaving the true cause of our problems out of their crosshairs. When it comes to our front office/coaching this fiasco of a season is 80% Walters fault and 20% MOS and crew. Anyone saying that MOS can't win if you give him the horses hasn't been watching our last 7 seasons. We simply are outclassed in the talent department. MOS is making some crap choices too, but he doesn't exactly have a boat load of reasonable options either.
  10. It's more so that the guys he put that trusted are past their prime and can't be the guys he needs them to be anymore.
  11. I think Osh's greatest strength in the past was his loyalty, trust, and belief in his players. It works great when you have a ton of very talented players. Now , when our talent is somewhat depleted, it has been his greatest weakness. Last year's Cup game was a real eye opener for me. If you can't let your backup take over when it's blatantly obvious your starter can't throw then you should have been looking for a competant #2.way, way earlier.
  12. Yeah Pokey back helps...will help Demski bigtime...Clercius is jut getting better....and yeah with Echols for this yr added I think he gives us something we need and Wheatfall can grow into his spot without having to be leaned on....But we woefully weak after that Sterns back would be perfect for him being able to be the 4th...5th guy ...and us. We do tho need another legit Canadian backup....and really Woli traded for would be perfect....can play multiple spots....hands were never an issue and both Strev and ZC trust him and have good chemistry with him...Corcoran is just a big nothing burger and pales in comparison to Woli in the run game....the reason of the excuse why Osh likes to roster him....and other than 1..2 games he's been horrible at it
  13. He had a whole part of his defense defect....had to redo his oline somewhat....Had to start yr with his backup ...no real back up...rotating door at rb with injuries...he gets some leeway...is also 2-0 in his cup appearances....if they cut him loose we'd be dumb to not go after him He also plays his best players...will bench guys in game....and actually coaches ....no brainer and done all this the last 3 yrs with not near the support and luxuries we have here
  14. Today
  15. yeah....and as we dont know the true dynamics involved the HC may have way too much say too...who knows but something definitely is lacking in cohesion and communication
  16. Walters is in a tough spot - the Head Coach gets to pick his horses - Walters needs to NOT re-sign some people next year.
  17. Fajardo has shown more as a starting QB since 2019 than Streveler has at any point in his career.
  18. I tend to agree re; receivers, we don't have a "Lawler", but I don't think they are as bad as it looks......I think we ran pretty thin a couple weeks ago, and we showed it by signing a couple new guys......but I do believe in the right system they could be good. Drop our starting 5 on the Cal. or Sask, offences and I bet they look way different.......
  19. Sadly I gotta agree with this. I'd like to see what we have in the kid. He's been " developing " for 2 years now...or is it 3?
  20. Thanks....I know we can DONATE the tickets ( we're season ticket holders ) and they'll give us a tax receipt which is certainly better than nothing!
  21. For Dinwiddie, honestly, I have no clue what the Argos upper brass would do if they missed the playoffs. I would jump at him to for that other job. I have been extremely impressed with what hes done.
  22. I don't think there's any chance Dinwiddie gets fired... but if he did... I can think of another position I'd like him in here... and it would be slightly higher than OC Not that I want Zach to call it a career... he's clearly the best QB we have on the roster now... but something like that would, at least, force our coaching and management to make some changes... 100%... anyone who disagree with this still just hates him for wearing green for so long...
  23. That was by default really...no other qb played more than what...8...9 games And even then he looked like a doofus
  24. Honestly, our OL is meh though Vanterpool helps a lot. I wouldn't mind seeing lofton at G and eli at C. I actually think WRs aren't so much a problem for us right now. With Wilson, Demski, Wheatfall, Clercius, and then Mitchell/Sterns/Echols. I think Mitchell and Wheatfall should get shutled around with Echols and Sterns. I'm not sold on either guy but thats a pretty decent battle for the last imp wr spot. Our Wrs have under performed, but I think the system is hurting them. It's not an ideal WR core, but Its above average for sure. I agree that too much gets dumped on strev. I think he could do considerably better with the right coach. But he's also about to be 31 and far from 100% healthy. That's hard to bet on, with a team that needs change. I do think he is gonna get a chance though. We will see what he does with it, and how much hogan messes it up.
  25. Thanks to everyone, it was an excellent weekend in Winnipeg. Wonderful people and a great place to party. Thank you
  26. Are you talking Cody Fajardo 2019 West Nominee for MOP? There is a difference between not being able to win the big game and struggling to win any game. I would take Fajardo every day over Streveler. There are very few QBs I wouldn't take over Streveler in the league right now
  27. I believe it is not fair to judge Streveler right now, the guy had MAJOR knee surgery...he can't be 100% wears a huge brace, this affects, mental and physical aspects. Will he ever become a great starter, possibly not but please remember the severity of the knee injury he recently suffered... I have been recently hard on Hogan, and I don't have much faith he is "helping" Streveler at all. Finally, as has been pointed out look at the o-line, how many hits has Zach taken this year compared to his years past in the Peg......look at Brady, Logan, Demski, Strev. when the do run rarely do the get holes, the only time it seems they have a good run is when they do it themselves and break tackles, or "juke" a defender or three.......is it all the players, I am sure a portion is, but again I question how much is also on the OC. In short, I don't care if is Zach, Wilson, Streveler, Elegsmaera, I don't think any of them have a great chance with the talent and schemes they have to work with.........sorry but those crying for a new QB, even if you get your wish, it won't solve the offence.......
