So next week do we roll with Peterson as our tailback and MCI backing him up? Or do we sit another American down and unleash Cooley?

Considering he said he needed to get certain assurances his role would be different before signing again, I don't think he would have.
-
I actually thought he was kind of just a throw in because we really liked the global DE... turns out we may have got the two best players in that deal I would agree with you... even the most ardent of complainers (you know who you are) weren't saying "this team sucks, we're going to lose"... but rather "a few tweaks could make this roster even better"

Well to be fair, pretty sure JT can crush 10 hotdogs like Doug Brown.

One of the greatest up & coming feel good stories of the decade

LOL Bombers had two of them in Leggs and Lirim and they chased them out of town, couldn't bring either back now for love nor money. Bomber fans need to find more patience for their kickers! -
He said in his interview with Ed Tait last week that he spent some time in the offseason with a field goal kicking coach to get better at it so that he can be an effective backup FG kicker, but he said he doesn't have the range that Sergio does.
-
Funny enough. JT played pretty good. I actually saw him disturb the pocket on more than one occasion. But in a rotational role he can actually provide something, the issue is last year they were playing him like he was prime Doug Brown.
-
Lawson looks like a bigger version of Jake, hard to tell them apart if you can't see their numbers well, they play similar styles.
-
Has anybody done a welfare check at TSN? Suitor and Farhan have to be devestated at the underperformances of Betts and Rourke. Kate has to be questioning everything she holds to be true having now seen what an actual sellout crowd looks and sounds like.

JT to the NFL - you heard it here first! 😂

Its called clamping down. -
Jake Thomas coming out party. Big breakout coming up. They say it takes at least a decade to get comfortable so now we’re seeing the payoff
-
Bit of hyperbole there - nobody was saying it was the end of the world, just expressing their displeasure with the line-up. The coaches may have been right but they were also fortunate. They rolled the dice & fielded a team that was very thin in certain positions (DL, WR) but luckily they made it through with no injuries at those spots.

Totally agree with your take.... I'll add our new OC Hogan, and the 32,000 fans who did their best to ruin Rourke's day. -
I understand what you’re saying, but the win doesn’t mean people were wrong about their roster concerns. We fortunately didn’t have any injuries at WR or on the D line. Injuries there would’ve been tough to overcome, given how thin the lineup was. I still think the roster could’ve been constructed better, but that was a fun game to be at and a hell of a win.

Rourke was wound up, I mean it’s in his head at this point. He is never having any fun playing against our defense.
-
100%. The guys were fired up more than I saw all last year. That wants-it-more goes a long way to winning. Every one is replaceable. But we lost some replacement level guys for sure. Garbutt and fox were actually quite good in Hamilton. In a unit that is basically all our exes.
-
As well as some replaceable players. WHO is Gerbutt, Aigustin, Doberson and Wolikowski?
-
Looked like they were having a helluva lot of fun out there, contrast that with Lions who didn't even celebrate their TD's.
-
I’d rather play him at dl than have him replace Castillo. Long term, I think every team should be looking for a global or Canadian guy who can do all 3 jobs. That gives you incredible roster flexibility. Those guy are exceedingly rare, and they basically never stay up here now. Some one, sorry to the person idr who, had a brilliant idea in the off season/camp. Just like we have the Canadian qb program in cfl camps, we should have the same program for kickers.
-
Hopefully this is a sign of a great year which ends with a story book ending.
-
He’s very legit. What I really liked from his running last night was that out side of his big run, he still gained great yardage consistently. He wasn’t busting 10+ or getting stuffed. He fought for yards was able to push forward a bit on some tough plays too. Good blocker, great effort guy. Much better speed than you’d expect. The fact we started out the year soo well with strong execution on both sides of the ball from the first bell, despite missing our qb1 and mop rb, after the mess of a month and a half to start last year is a real testament to the value they got out of camp this year. We even lost a bunch of coaches and front office guys. But despite all that this was the hungriest and most prepared team breaking camp we’ve seen since 21.
-
Does Sheehan kick fgs cuz having an American kicker actually appears to perhaps be an issue. Without Sergio you could dress person or whoever.
-
Yeah both Kelly and makonzo are 6 gamed.
