  1. Past hour
  2. I always thought the guy's name was Wynston McManis. Not Wynton. I wonder if Jim Barker will try to sign him before free agency? Or will he test what's out there?
  3. I'm not a huge Muamba fan either for that reason. He was selfish & chased the money rather than stick with a team through it all & go for the championships. Which is his right but there was very little loyalty there. Forget loyalty to the individual clubs as they'd cut Muamba the minute his performance started to erode. But to his teammates & brothers. The one year deals allowed Muamba to change teams every year.
  4. That's what got us into the situation we are now. No, not everyone is a starter. Some are career backups. Some are career special teamers. Everyone has a role to play on a team but everyone is a starter? If everyone is a starter then why aren't all players on the Bombers paid like they're starters? That's Osh being fricking Osh.
  5. going jones to sankey is a lateral move, certainly not one worth losing sleep over or spending money on. We have a good group of bigger wils who can actually run/cover ground, and play inside gaps. The only LBers in free agency I would look at is allen, and mcmanis. Who are the top tier of value at wil/mac.
  6. Leafs fire their assistant coach Savard. Yup checks out, it's gotta be him in where the Leafs find themselves currently. If I was their Zamboni driver, I might be a bit anxious on who's next. Did I mention I'm not a big Leafs fan?
  7. Today
  8. ....nice to see I'm not alone...I don't think he has many fans in the Peg....sort of a 'persona non grata' around here....and that's being kind
  9. lol it doesn't matter what I or GCN20 think. It only matters what Sankey thinks. And I guarantee he thinks he's a Starting MLB not a depth piece.
  10. I claim to have had a brain cramp and am appropriately chastized.
  11. My buddies and I (somewhat jokingly) talk **** about him every time we see him on the panel for this very reason...
  12. The finest we cannot "afford."
  13. No interest in Woods. We should be exploring the idea of whether or not Shay can play there. Or recruiting for it.
  14. Woods certainly worth a look....played come pretty good ball for Buck and the leos....speaking of which Walters should call his ol buddy and get the inside on this guy
  15. Going back over the years and looking back at the hold out names we drafted, that didn't work out, how about the obvious one sitting on the tsn panel Henoc Muamba....We wined and dined the guy and his family...bent over backwards to sign him ,then he did a tour of the CFL AND suddenly signed with Montreal....I still have problems with this guy, whenever I see him mouthing it up on games
  16. In the words of O'Shea, everyone is a starter. We rotate players on defence every play it seems. Who gets how many reps may depend on defensive formations, health of players at a given position, or even the opponent. If you believe GCn20, he's not a good starting MLB. By definition then he's depth. If you believe the Lions, then he is a at best, the starter, at worst he's depth. There are only 9 teams and obviously the Als were no longer interested. A combination of SMS, age and ratio? Not every team is going to make free agent acquisitions at the LB position. Those that do might only be looking at depth spots. IMO he's better than GCn20 suggested but does have similar limitations as T.Jones. Neither is A. Bighill in his prime.
  17. He could be a trade asset if he really doesn't want to play in Winnipeg.
  18. Yes starting MLBs are just running over themselves to join the Bombers as "depth".
  19. Actually 55 has the look of someone who realizes he may have made a big mistake in believing Chevy and signing long term here. He could be thinking, “I getting up there and I’m not winning a Stanley Cup with this club am I?” 😕
  20. We don't know how much Sankey would cost. The issue is depth. Who do we have that is better in pass coverage behind T. Jones or for that matter as run stopping? There is hope the Canadian LB's take up the slack, but I don't know if Ayers fills either of those needs or will even return in 2026. J. Jones was signed as depth in 2025 and obviously released before the end of the season. Noting that Sankey did very well in Montreal and obviously the Lions were impressed enough to add him to their roster. I never said to replace T. Jones but suggested Sankey as depth ( a DI ) to rotate and fill in for in game injury situations. It really depends on what the Canadians will bring in their 2nd season. I'm not entirely impressed with T. Jones as a complete MLB. Our run defence was problematic at times.
  21. Time to trade our “Chevy” for another brand 😊
  22. No more JT on the d-line, no more Hogan running the entire offence, it’s a beautiful day! 😁
  23. If you think the nightlife in Winnipeg is remotely comparable, you've clearly never been to any of those places.
  24. Still doesn't answer my questions with any solid facts. As a competitive guy myself, I would be embrassed if a team actually planned a tank on purpose.
  25. They won’t rebuild. Not with 55 81 37 all signed long term. They will retool and if that means tanking this season I think that’s ok. McKenna is a franchise player. SJ pretty much. Sharks. Buffalo also tried tanking for McDavid as rumors were he wanted to go to there or preferred it but Edmonton won the draft.
