  1. Past hour
  2. I have no confidence that schoen will be close to 100% this year. He’s back on the 6 after the first third. If we got insanely lucky and made the gc maybe he’s close for that game with a reasonable amount of rust off. Short of some thing miraculous he shouldn’t be rushed to play and when he comes back should be eased in real slow if at all this year. We can’t afford to ruin him. I don’t think we’d give up the kind of ol they’d want for value, I’m not even sure they’d want our guys. I wouldn’t give up Wallace or the rights to manu in that situation. I don’t think Eli moves the needle for them, don’t think they’d take kola or neuf on age and health/badness. They let Lofton go last time. I don’t see rando or vanterpool creating value either.
  3. Streveler's awkward throwing while rolling out may not have been completely his fault. The Bomber o-line was being overrun and either he or Jackson may have decided that staying in the pocket and getting set was not a good idea. If any incoming GM who replaces Walters re-ups O'Shea, that would be a very bad omen.
  4. The Hogan hire and lack of swings in free agency were rightly identified as canaries in the coal mine at the time. Update: the canaries didn't make it. Might not have shown on TV but Parker was ice skating all over the field. He was often nowhere near the play because he kept blowing a tire.
  5. 1. Jefferson - Best half he's played this year. 2. Vaughters - TD and a sack. 3. ??????
  6. Whats OShea gonna say,, We played like crap, and the players need to be accountable or changes will be made,? Oh wait thats Dinwiddie.
  7. I know what you’re saying about Zach’s 2nd pick not being his fault, it was a crazy sequence of bounces that were very unlucky, but he caused that by throwing high to an open receiver. An easy throw that he needs to make. I think Streveler has the tools, but I feel like someone needs to correct his mechanics…. I can’t think of many throws last night that he actually stepped into. He’s almost always throwing flat footed or off his back foot. He has a great arm, but he could make more throws on time if he got back to his fundamentals.
  8. Two things that baffle me 1 Every time we play Argos we get away from the run game, even when our achievers arent healthy ,2; Why has Parker become invisible,? The first 3 games he was all over the field making plays now even on all the deep throws hes nowhere to be found This along with our roster decisions are frustrating to say the least
  9. I wonder if Miller and O’Shea would entertain a trade? Riders have a surplus of receivers (Bane and KSB returning soon). Bombers could send a O-lineman in return? Just spitballing here. Hope ZC gets back to good health, a little concerning seeing him out with his concussion history.
  10. The fact that nobody has really addressed this at all is kind of startling to me
  11. Today
  12. I would say Castillo continues to be great.
  13. Disagree. For starters, Schoen may not be his old self this season or ever, for that matter, and even if/when Pokey returns, so long as a sub-par Collaros keeps getting put out there, nothing will change. Furthermore, none of this will address the defence which is more theoretical than actual. The defensive backfield is inadequate and the players who are competent cannot compensate for those who are blindingly horrible. Then there are the festering boils- Kolankowski and Thomas. Beyond all these issues, I see that the biggest liability is on the sidelines. Not only is O'Shea afflicted with rigid thinking, his choices of coordinators are highly questionable. These issues are neither new nor invisible and if we yahoos in this forum can and have seen them ad nauseum, the players who are living through this know it a lot more acutely. The players who c are have to be getting very tired and PO'd that coaching/management are blithely ignoring the problems and are doing damned near nothing about them. Why bust your ass if you know you are going to not only lose but be embarrassed? Blinded by his own ego. Zach was his (sign) now-usual self, and Streveler looked good enough to start the next game. But unless Collaros is comatose, he won't.
  14. I think streveler is fine as a passer, I think the problems are 2 fold really, and applicable for both qbs... receivers not making enough catches and more importantly, there's simply too much pressure on the qbs. They're either running away or getting cranked.
  15. In case anybody is crazy enough to want to see the Bombers play in Toronto, we had a car on our trip (family vacation) so we parked at Port Credit GO station and took the train to the stadium. Worked out really well. The site lines at BMO are great and the fans that were there are passionate and friendly, but I hated the physical seats. My back still hurts.
  16. “People aren’t going to like to hear this, but I’m very relaxed about the situation, because you see what’s happening, and the answers are easy,” O’Shea said. “There’s a bunch of guys in that room that have seen it go down a pile of different ways, so I believe we have a bunch of guys that just understand, ‘Let’s make some corrections, let’s go to work and let’s be better,’ So that’s one of the reasons why it’s easy to just stay even keeled.” If the answers were that easy, why weren't they made after the first Calgary game?
  17. Honestly on the QBs, neither played well. On pick was not Zach's fault, the other 100% on him. Streveler, one nice drive but other than that, not much. Honestly Streveler is not a good enough passer to be a starting QB imo.
  18. In the Free Press article online this morning, O'Shea was quoted as saying that he was not concerned at all and that it was easy to see and fix the problem(s). Move along now, nothing to see here.
  19. I'd really like to see an interview with Walters or Wade Miller right now to see what their thoughts are
  20. The mismanagement of this off season with a grey cup at home is a huge slap in the face to the fans. They signed one (imo) impact FA and Osh put him on the 1-Game for 2 months
  21. That kind of decision making has been common the past few years & really, if things don't improve by September then heads should roll at the end of the season. Walters hasn't signed a new deal & he shouldn't be renewed. A new GM would decide if Osh kept his job.
  22. I think we can stop looking to Schoen for much of anything… This is the third year in the row that he’s either missed huge blocks of time (24, 25) or absolutely critical time (23). That leaves 22 as the only year he played the full season, correct? Yes, he was outstanding that year, but three years in a row the guy can’t stay healthy and he’s only 27. They should’ve passed on him and found a way to re-up Lawler. Poor decision-making.
  23. Hogan said he made a mistake & regretted what he said. We give so many people second chances but yet the mob won't do it for him. If he said he was sorry then why can't people forgive? People make mistakes & a celebrity like Hogan should have known better. If Terry Bollea was sincere about being sorry for his comments & learned a lesson from his comments then I think that would be a good thing. I find a lot of people on social media are selective when it comes to forgiveness.
  24. I could feel this coming this past off season when our GM did virtually nothing. Walters let star players go. He didn't sign even one impact free agent in a year we were hosting a Grey Cup. These wounds are self inflicted. We did it to ourselves. This is probably Yera 2 or 3 of the exodus of star players elsewhere & no replacement signed. I just can't see it getting any better before it gets worse. We know from past experience that this probably won't happen.
  25. That's all you need to know about our receiving corps. Collaros likes to throw the deep ball & stretch out the field. But to whom? Wheatfall has simply disappeared as a deep threat. There's really no one else to catch the ball besides Demski who can do damage deep but he can't do it alone. I can certainly understand why Collaros has struggled. This is what makes me angry as a fan. Most of the damage to the team has been self inflicted by management. A puzzling off season of departures offensively & defensively & no replacements signed.
  26. Bridges Bonds Parker Nichols Holm collaros Younger cuz the D absolutely sucks. They look lost. person Willie and Vaughters played well tho.
