CFL East Division Final: Montreal @ Hamilton
Noeller replied to Noeller's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
I said something similar while watching the game. Hamilton is, in a way, easier to defend, because you know Lawler is the primary option on every play... -

In a way I think Hamilton/Bo levi fell into the Lawler trap, hes so good the qb focuses in on him and becomes almost one dimensional. Lawler had more targeted receptions and yards than White, Bridges and Smith combined. Those receivers are too good not to be utilized more -

I feel bad for Lawler. Maybe he will come back here next year. -
Buck , buck , buck so close yet so far. Even if that second and short play call worked it seemed like an odd choice for Rourke to run it into the heart of the defence. A roll out, a screen pass or using their running back would have made more sense now gangreen gets the Bombers lockers. Awful result.

Isn't the goal to make someone want to come to Toronto? That would do the opposite. -

Maybe MLSE throws in Maple Leaf and Raptor season tickets to sweeten the deal. -

I don’t think he will get both, they’d a kept dinwiddie at that imo. He might get agm or hc and teams co etc Only positives i can think of are, Maybe he loves pinball? Maybe he wants to be captain save a hoe to toronto? Maybe he feels the walls closing in here and wants to escape before it really hits the fan. (this could be as much internal and rebuild related as any thing) I know his immediate family live here but maybe he wants to be closer to old friends and extended family? All pretty soft reasons imo. I like several pieces toronto has, but they are also past their peak by a good bit and need a heavy re tool. Delving into our fa offerings like hamilton isn’t likely to help much either. plus jake, and hallet. they can sign kramdi as well in fa -

Saskatchewan is likely going to win in our stadium, aren't they?😢 If Alexander plays he is likely not going to be anywhere close to 100% and that likely means we see MBT. I have little to no faith in him. Yeah, sure he played well against Saskatchewan the last time they met, but didn't the Riders have a tonne of injuries to their defense and specifically they secondary leading into or during the game thus MBT's impressive passing numbers? In the only other matchup, the Riders smacked the Als by nearly 30 points with MBT at the controls...and he did nothing that game. Can't remember if the Als had a lot of injuries to their starters in that game, but they were pretty bad.

Ehhhh that seems like such a loser Manitoban thing to do... Selling your tickets. I don't wanna be the world's biggest Alouettes fan, but I will be next weekend. Will be great to have one last game day experience at the barn. Looking forward to the pre game tailgate as always and celebrating this amazing league one last time before they **** everything up with shitty rules changes. Vive Les Alouettes!!

Rourke had 2 possessions to get a first down and likely salt away the game. Goes 2 and out. Saskatchewan inexplicably punts with 1:48 left after going 2 and out (even one BC First Down likely leaves too little time for Saskatchewan to march it down the field for a game-winning TD)....but BC goes 2 and out again...this after the running back gets 7 yards on first down. Why not go back to Butler on second down instead of Rourke with a long second and three QB sneak? Foolish playcall by Buck or was it Rourke? First down leaves the Riders with 20 - 30 seconds left even if they get the ball back. Even BC's defense could have likely held them to less than 75 yards in that situation. Instead we get an awful collapse by the Benefeces' defense giving up 73 yards in like 40 seconds and that was the game. Harris outplayed Rourke. Never thought I would say that.
