  1. Past hour
  2. Here's a perfect example of an athlete that brings productivity to the ice as well as brings strong interpersonal skills to help with team cohesion and leadership.. And he's not the best player on the team but he's probably one of the best on the team that brings the full package. The expectation (not always met) for all players is have the full package to some degree not just one or the other.
  3. I legitimately don't understand what people think they saw in Dolegala. He should not have been put in the GC game. They 100% should have stuck with Wilson. He looked far more poised in the pocket than even Collaros, was a threat to run and could make every throw. Like someone mentioned...MOS should have given HIM the chance to be great.
  4. Generally speaking....major changes lead to at least 1 yr of bad football. I think this years CGY team is the only one I've seen where it worked out extremely well...and even then they were 1 and done. People that are wanting major changes/rebuilds are asking for losing seasons.
  5. His exact words from his Nov 3rd media availability: Around the 2:45 mark of the video, he's asked about the fans wanting major changes.
  6. Is there such thing as a rebuild in the CFL when 6 of 9 teams make the playoffs and most contracts are extremely short? Roster turnover is huge across the league.
  7. Are you serious? What you say makes no sense. With anyone there is always a chance. Who knows what might have happened had Dolegala played. Putting Zach back in was ridicu;ously stupid. He was unable to throw. Dolegala gave us a better chance to win over Collaros who couldn't grip the ball. How many pick sixes did Zach throw after he went back in?
  8. Zach collaros couldn't grip the ball! Oshea talked about giving players a chance to be great putting an injured guy back out, we'll how about giving a backup the chance to be great? Collaros wasn't hurt, he was injured and couldn't do his basic job. It's negligence to trot him out there. Yeah the backup might have sucked... but at least they could grip a ball.
  9. I mean do we really need a top down rebuild? There's still some good pieces here, just need to add some stars which could be done in free agency... and then jetison some dead weight. Things aren't as dire as all that yet.
  10. Yup, Osh said that in his presser after the playoff loss to Montreal as per Paul Friesen's story here. Someone quoted the same story it was discussed here. Osh said he didn't believe a rebuild is needed. He hoped that wouldn't happen. He just thought a tweaking was needed. Read the article. https://winnipegsun.com/sports/fix-the-offence-bombers-collaros-oliveira-got-osheas-attention
  11. Today
  12. Yet fans here think Osh is the one who can right the ship.... He's the reason the good ship Bombers are listing.
  13. All teams say that publically. Elgersma will get a shot if he comes up for sure. Does anyone think ZC stays healthy for all 18 games? If he does we won't have to worry about whether Elgersma got his shot in year one or not. Proof? Not what I heard in his presser whatsoever. That could be mainly why he hasn't signed for sure.
  14. Well, the best teams have the best players usually. That's not unusual. Collaros needs help. His comments after thge season just confiormed it. He had Brady but numbnuts Hogan never used him properly. Now, Osh will waste two months deciding if a change is needed at OC & in the end will probably just bring him back anyway.
  15. I disagree wholeheartedly on what Dolegala might have done. He is a stand up, pocket passer with almost no mobility. He had extremely limited knowledge of our playbook, took almost no first team reps to build timing, and would have been facing a TO front 4 that was dominating our OL. I give him a near zero chance of winning that game if he comes in. We may all hate that Zac Collaros went back into that game, but he was the only QB on our roster that realistically gave us any shot of winning. Yes, in order to do so he would have had to be able to play through his injury but if I am the coach I would make the same call based on who was available. It's not like we didn't try Wilson, we did, and he promptly went out and laid a big fat egg. Dolegala? Not even a realistic option really IF we are truly trying to win. I get the gamble that ZC could play through didn't work, but at the time the decision was made it was the right decision imo. Anything else is laying down and gifting the win. The reality of the situation is that the second ZC got injured our chances of winning that game, no matter who we put out behind centre, pretty much dried up unless D and STs could pull out a miracle. Our offence was done. I don't think that's an unfair statement at all. ZC could have gone back into that game and we feed them a steady diet of BO and we had a chip and a chair. The problem wasn't leaving ZC in the game. The problem was the play calling once we had decided that. Buck never adjusted to the reality of that moment. We had all kinds of run packages, screens, dumps, go to the flats that ZC could have executed even with a bad finger. Instead we have him going long on his first play back in the game. It made no sense.
  16. The issues with Zach are: A) He's declining B -He and Management don't want to admit it C) He's still our best option
  17. Lol so if we load up every position only then will Zach be serviceable? Nearly any qb would thrive with an all star cast surrounding them.
  18. I think Walters pays by a grid system. On that grid, he has divided the money for the salary cap by position. Some positions pay more & others less. He won't vary from that grid. I don't know if other teams do it but if he is doing that, it isn't working.
  19. The federal Liberals have sent $22 billion to the Ukraine to line Zelensky's pockets yet no money for universal pharmacare or dental?
  20. Osh doesn't want a rebuild. He said that publicly. He wants to bring most players back & "tweak" the roster with minor changes. So, that means same old, same old.
  21. I watched the presser. My takeaways were different from some of what I read on the board. Walters all but admitted it’s time for a rebuild and set the bar high for this year by saying it can be done quickly. No pay cut for Zach, but that’s partly due to how bad the supports were around him, he said. That suggests there will be hard conversations about the OC, receivers and Oline. He even admitted the Bombers squeaked out some wins despite playing bad football. Only quality wins were over B.C. and Hamilton. That suggests he has his eyes open. The entire organization under achieved this year, except for maybe Vaval and Carol in the ticket office.. It sounds like this season stung the people in charge and course correction is ahead. We will see.
  22. This season the offense was on the entire organization. Walters signed that high priced receiver from Edmonton & Osh barely played him. Damn, at one point we had Chris Streveler playing wideout on a bum knee. We signed Dalton Schoen & he never should have seen the fie;d this season. He was cooked by O'Shea playing him on a torn ACL. Zach was then handec an OC who was the worst in the CFL & now it looks like he'll be back again. We have the worst starting CEnter in the CFL & the OL suffers because of it. I can't blame Collaros. I thin k it's more 65/35 Bombers seem to have become a somewhat dysfunctional organization. If you heard the comments from both Osh & Walters. More of the same coming in 2026.
  23. Not bad but 37 yr old Lowry might not be a good thing. 4th line probably in 3 years.
  24. Will Zach realize his limits and adjust his style of play?
  25. I like the BLM reference. So what we are ordering here is a better support cast to surround our qb and once delivered, okay ZC, time to resurge.
  26. Hall has been coaching in the cfl for 30 years and isn’t an offensive mind. Ourstaff has more than enough experience with this game to know how dismal our play and game plan was last year. And yet it didn’t help us a tiny bit. No reason to think they will start effectively micro managing the O with success. We’ve seen the same mistakes from staff to office, repeated over years all with crushing season ends. We’ve heard all the talk of change, and how we know what we need to do. The only thing that will give reasonable hope that next year will be different, is action. Idc if mos/walters came out and said jake/kola/hogan etc cost us, or pointed at every single failing and said all the right things for plans to actually fix the issues. Only actions matter now.
