  1. Past hour
  2. Yeah, the D dominated until he left, then no one seemed to have a hot clue.
  3. He was re-upped on the 6 game list about a week and a half ago so he's not eligible to practice anymore. Don't think it was ever mentioned here (or in the media) though.
  4. How is makonzo not on the list? hes been practicing for like 2 plus weeks but is still on the 6
  5. man, his cover 0 dominated. Play a few dbs back at the first down marker and send every one else. teams tried to out heavy set them, until eventually they best it with the spread and quick hitch stuff. Rust was really under rated from his earlier als stints in the cfl. I liked the way he ran camp and practice here. One of the best coaches of fundamentals i’ve seen. He could talk about tackling for hours. His exit from exit here was odd and unfortunate.
  6. better question....chances of us winning even with them?.................
  7. Good list.....going back yeah Ritchie and Mathews got best outta their squds Actually over looked alot is Mike Riley for us...Under Murphy he was a damned good DB coach and then as HC teamed up with Ritchie as head coach in 1990 to put out a damned fine defense...Many prob don't recal back then a lot of times you didnt really have a DC per say...but was a group effort....He was a highly underated Defensive mind by the average Joe, but players and coaches know what he brought...also a reason why he was in the NFL and NCAA as long as he was....If he wasnt lured away and was here for 5 to 10 yrs we wouldn't have been lost in the wilderness and Osh be chasing him as winningest coach...Dude was just the best Rod Rust as well was an innovative mind and formed defenses to suit his players
  8. Chances of us winning without some of these guys in our lineup? Questionable.
  9. Remember Matthews: Second and long, line up the entire secondary at the first down markers...blitz everyone else.
  10. i’m not surprised. I could still see him dressing zach
  11. Tim burke. Haha, seriously he was a really good dcor. Just very limited in that role. Chris jones, yes a toxic waste dump of a leader, but tremendous dcor too. Halls style is oft maligned, and has a half life but is Ds around the league have evolved to adopt his style. I really like Bob slowik in calgary, he’s learned and taken a lot from jy and hall here. Noel thorpe is a better version of lapo for D. Brett monsoon is very good but hasn’t adapted well to roster change. Im very fond of Baron miles and JY as guys on the upswing. If you wanna go back in time, ritchie and don mathew’s are two of the best from their era. But it’s extremely hard to compare D from the early 2ks and prior to today. The league is generally run by offence and OC minds. The Ds here are at a big disadvantage.
  12. Today
  13. O'Shea actually said he doesn't think Zach will play.
  14. At the risk of creating more PTSD here...Tim Burke
  15. hahaha....well I guess I used to be bouncing ay Teasers
  16. sounds like an interesting are of specialty. I love the intersections of engineering and the trades. I’ve worked on 4 different sides of it over the past 25 years and love it. Oh yeah, i’ve been on more than a few projects like that. actually most projects seem to have atleast one nutter lol. First rule of mbb, don’t ask people their age lol
  17. and Geneva convention dates https://people.com/hallmark-channel-2025-christmas-movie-schedule-11811709
  18. Who is the best Defensive Coordinator in the CFL (past or present) who's great at creating defensive systems that got the best out the players that were given to him?
  19. I'll start. I'm in the adult entertainment business. (wakes up goes to work feeling depressed).
  20. yeah....would be....Puts more of a face so to speak behind the username Was interesting just hearing of some here...and some of the ages!
  21. well in all honesty....i truly believe it's just cause Osh likes him...and thinks he offers value.....Not a good indicator of his ability to assess talent really when you look at it...cause if he thinks he's better out there than all our other DT's....based on his reps....he's really out to lunch, especially considering he offers no upside...is old..what...34 now?...and is very limited in what he could do, pretty much from his first yr
  22. In summary why is Jake Thomas playing? I know I know I exhaust me as well.
  23. I'm a software engineer and I help build aerospace tools, and the hardest part of my job is not coding or technical crap, it's all communications and learning. I have to learn enough about my customers' disciplines so that I can build software that's useful to them. Def no choice but to get out in the field and learn what they do by seeing it directly. It's never boring. be interesting to fire up a careers thread and find out what everyone does/did for a living. yeah, I've known some brilliant people who are not doers. those guys are so frustrating to work with, they can turn anything into a quagmire. on the other hand, I've also worked with hi-energy idiots, people who might be smart and eager but who have zero judgment -- those guys are dangerous. as in all things, you gotta walk the line.
  24. Figures Drew will be safe with our pass rush
