Blue Bombers -- 2025/26 Offseason -- Discussion Thread
he’s got very comparable wheels to lawler actually. very similar style and skill set as well. The big difference is kenny developed the polished route running and had that understanding of how to get open. That’s always the case really. Wrs are a crapshoot, far more guys with the tools needed fail then make it. Even the ones that make it like lawler almost always need a year and 2 full camps to turn the corner.

Tragic Loss: The Entire Hockey World Mourns as They Announce the Passing of Winnipeg Jets Legend Thomas Steen, Who Passed Away at the Age of 85 The Winnipeg community and the hockey world are in deep mourning today following the news of the passing of Thomas Steen, one of the most beloved and iconic figures in Winnipeg Jets history. A cornerstone of the franchise for 14 seasons, Steen was the first player in the team's NHL history to have his jersey number (No. 25) retired, a testament to his incredible skill, leadership, and loyalty. 𝑾𝑨𝑻𝑪𝑯 𝑴𝑶𝑹𝑬 👉" referrerpolicy="origin-when-cross-origin" src="https://static.xx.fbcdn.net/images/emoji.php/v9/t51/1/16/1f449.png" style="border: 0px; border-start-start-radius: 0px; border-end-end-radius: 0px; border-start-end-radius: 0px; border-end-start-radius: 0px; object-fit: fill;"> https://meadora.info/.../thomas-steen-legacy-defines... Known for his elite two-way play and his unwavering commitment to the city of Winnipeg, Steen was a true "Original Jet" who bridged the gap between the WHA era and the NHL. His impact extended far beyond the ice, as he served his community with the same dedication he showed during his 950 career games. As fans across Manitoba and the entire NHL gather to honor the memory of the "Steener," the loss of such a classy and hardworking legend leaves a void in the hearts of the Jets faithful. Our deepest condolences go out to his family, including his son Alexander, and the entire Winnipeg Jets organization.

25/26 CFL (Non Bombers) Off Season Thread
I mean to be fair here I could write a tv show and Disney plus could pick it up but if nobody watches it then who cares. Nobody would watch the cfl on Disney plus just like only 22 ppl will watch the Mexican league. I guess a big difference is a large portion of America is not fans of Canada since their supreme leader says so. Surely someone with more tech ability than me can find the average cfl game ratings for games broadcast in the USA. Obviously the demand just isn’t there and honestly why would it be. Why would Americans care about the cfl when they have plenty of sports options. UFL ratings don’t look great. NHL ratings aren’t great. Baseball fluctuates depending on who plays who. Playoff basketball draws but regular season don’t. NFL is king tho. CFL would draw less than the UFL because Americans really don’t support things not American. Even soccer is having a hard time actually drawing numbers. The stadiums are all smaller than ours. I think reality is 350 million people down there. Maybe a million know the cfl exists. I mean last time I was in California and Vegas (about 7 years ago 8 actually now), Americans were surprised I was so tanned. They literally thought we had snow year round folks. They don’t know about us. We know way more about them. Bottom line. It’s not worth it to Disney Amazon Netflix etc if you only drawing 10000 viewers. Maybe regularly draw a million per on tsn first. Not just bombers and rider games and then streaming services might be like hmm interesting. And if they wanna do a test game it’s bombers vs riders anyways as those are the 2 some in the USA have now heard of. Jason Kelce for the W.

Game 78 : @Muddy Waters Plays The Blues
The overtime losses points are the difference. La has 19 ot losses. Jets have 12. That’s 7 extra points. If you actually look at goal differential also kings are minus way more than the jets. The loser points gonna get LA the last spot. Jets have 2 more wins than LA. LA is minus 22 goal differential. Jets are minus 12. LA is 3 points up with 2 less wins. It’s stupid actually.

Blue Bombers -- 2025/26 Offseason -- Discussion Thread
This receiver will also have to have the ability, like Lawler, to go out and steal balls away from DBs because Zac doesn't have that pinpoint accuracy anymore. Contested balls are going to be a thing going forward with him and we need someone who can win the lion's share of them. We can mitigate some of Zac's decline by giving him receivers to make him look good on things like that. We were woefully inadequate at that last year. Our guys lost more 50/50s than they won and we simply can't have that this year.

Blue Bombers -- 2025/26 Offseason -- Discussion Thread
yup...we need one to step up as thats a critical need for us, and the kinda guy that ZC needs at this juncture of his career TJ Davis also intrigues and curious to see what we try to do with him...Has a lot of QB experience, and can return....could be a versatile roster guy too....camp will be interesting

Blue Bombers -- 2025/26 Offseason -- Discussion Thread
If any of these guys emerge as bonafide CFL receivers I'll be tickled pink. My point in all of this is that I like that we are looking for some size and 50/50 ability in our new recruits. Whether it's Banks, Fredericson, or Receiver X, I think we really need someone of that style in our receiving corps.

Blue Bombers -- 2025/26 Offseason -- Discussion Thread
If we wanna keep a receiver of that ilk...then Banks should be the guy as bigger...way better measurables...better pedigree...huge upside and almost shocking he is up here, and likely is gonna be playing dialed in with something to prove. He could also easily step in to the wide side WR spot right outta the gate and be easily eased in with us having Demski, White and Pokey stealing a lot of the db's attention and find himself in a lot of one on one situations....and he is a proven contested ball receiver and knows how to us his body to box guys out....Plus can take inside routes and work from along the l.o.s too...Dude has all the tools and came from a top notch school

Blue Bombers -- 2025/26 Offseason -- Discussion Thread
He's no Lawler, he lacks that speed but as a solid possession receiver 50/50 ball guy he clearly has that game. He averaged 13 yards a reception so he can clearly get the ball when it's in the air. He's the exact type of receiver we need. Not saying he will make the team, but I like that this is the type of receiver we are looking at bringing in. We are sorely lacking this type of receiver. A team that was using Sterns as our end zone jump ball guy last year really needs someone we can throw to with some 50/50 size and ability. If not Fredericson hopefully somebody else, but what impressive hands he's got.

Got some scoreboard help... But the Kings unfortunately won. Jets have a very tough schedule and the Kings have it easier. We'll see what happens.
