I would love to believe Kyrie staying home means he hasn’t made the team but what has our front office ever done that would suggest that?

Given our previous camps it isn’t ridiculous at all. We’ve cut guys the day after a ps game who didn’t play, who played extremely well, we’ve failed to play guys enough to get the rust off etc

I'm excited to see Shay, Novak and Smith all on the field at once.

Camps have a second game for a reason and it is ridiculous for people to assume that anything is set in stone other than our star level players. Some vets are at home because we know what they bring to the table already, and some to shield them from injury, but players play themselves onto and off of the team all the time in game action (including this one) in preseason on every team every year.

This is how I view it as well. Absolutely nothing set in stone.

I’m going to take it as a positive and say there’s going to be a lot of tough decisions to make, and they want to get the young players an extended look.

Seems kind of strange to burry the second game with back ups, when the first game of the season is in week 2. I am glad a bunch of guys are gonna get some good reps, but if the majority of decisions are made, whats the point?

I don't understand not grooming him more to be a RB, seems like we are lowering his ceiling. I really don't understand out moves at Lber. If Kyrie and Tjones were gonna be handed the starting jobs, why bring in Jjones? Give jones a signing bonus and bring him in to maybe DI and cut ayers? I don't think vaughters has out right won the position by play, but I also don't think any one has clearly out played him for it. The closest thing imo would be adams to DE with woods/pointer at dt to bump vaughters. But hes a better player than Kyrie at this point pretty easily.

I mean hey it’s week 2 of pre season vs the same team from last week on the wonderfully crappy cfl plus app again. This time tho, we bringing the B and C teams tho. Fun. Last week was a good game. I played hockey soccer golf baseball tennis badminton volleyball and hackey sack. I was too small for football. By the time I grew it was 2 late. I’m just a random fan in a hat and jersey some times. Barkov in my opinion is a generational guy. He’s the Finnish Russian version of Patrice Bergeron. Also they have Ekblad who was one of very few to be given exceptional status by the ohl. Weather. I’m not sure there. I thought person and Webb was it looked like younger versions of him really. So me? I’d prob keep the young guys who look impressive over a potentially washed paid well vet. I’m not sure tho. Vaughters could be what Willie J needs. I thought he looked good also and he hustled on the obvious non fumble regardless. So I could see him being a decent addition. Perhaps reputation alone helps free up Willie more. I’ll put Vaughters in the d Mitch maybe he’s cut group but if I had to say the surprise cut… d Mitchell for sure. Easily. Cuz Vaughters caught Oshs attention on the hustle and d Mitch has on the well, slow learning perhaps.

Wilson Tony and Jake being guaranteed spots is a joke and makes us worse. I don’t think all are guaranteed. Wilson gonna get injured immediately again I’m sure cuz his body at this point is just NOPE, Jake is just, it’s not even funny anymore honestly. You don’t keep lesser talent around if you are trying to win. If T Jones is guaranteed wtf the point of signing jon jones then. Gonna cut one of JJ or Ayers then bring them back when Wilson gets injured game 1? And I don’t want that to happen but it’s more likely it does. Like bighill and BA, Wilson and Jake are both washed up. And Tony Jones is not a top cfl middle line backer. He’s just not.

Cooley will get a lot of film anyways. Wouldn't mind if they gave Chris-Ike some reps at tailback as he might be backing up there.

I say this every week, the order listed on the depth chart means nothing. Interesting notes added below, I assume anyone that does not have to compete in PS#2 are injured or does not have to worry about retaining their job. NOTABLE: The Blue Bombers are leaving 13 regulars in Winnipeg for the final preseason game in DEs Willie Jefferson and James Vaughters, DT Jake Thomas, LBs Tony Jones, Kyrie Wilson and Shayne Gauthier, defensive backs Deatrick Nichols, Evan Holm, Terrell Bonds and Michael Griffin II, running back Brady Oliveira and right tackle Eric Lofton. All four quarterbacks will dress, with Chris Streveler listed as the starter and Zach Collaros, Chase Artopoeus and Terry Wilson listed behind him in that order.

Not sure it means much but Zach listed is interesting. Thought he wasn’t going. Also Wilson listed 4th is interesting. D Mitch behind Lord Keric and Sir Hall of Western Michigan. Prob means nothing but interesting just pre season bs really but just some interesting things. Our Canadian LB group got a lot younger Shay Smith and Novak prob all make the team.
