So the bombers could save lots of money by letting every other coach besides O’Shea go then. Cuz wtf is the point of the other coaches. Youngers D would be lethal with the right guys. lol. Hogans O would be with 5 milt stegalls also. I mean the right guys. If only O’Shea scouted and kept all these pre season all stars working at foot locker.

please please lol Tell me you got the scoop hahahaha

Argos gonna get Osh or and Steinauer I bet.

yeah....he got done hard raw....Players were not happy about that as well I also think Bowman is also a up and comer and some of the new breed who could be around a while as a HC... Yup...He's quietly biding his time and is a guy who building a nice resume of experience there in Mtl and can see being plucked as there not much MTL can really do there for him uless they cut bait with some guys...which I can't see.....Maybe they move from Thorpe but I dont want him anywhere near here...As far as cancers go on a coaching staff...He's the poster child...Melanoma Head personified Mickey Donovam is also a guy who would be a good candidate for new blood somewhere....No Nonsense kinda guy...players love and respect...and will get best outta everyone....If there was an outlier off the radar kinda guy to give a shot to...in an already established culture like here...He's be a real good pick and I would be more than happy with him -

They also had like 3 loses by 3 or less. Toronto capsized because for years they have been hammered away at in free agency, with out doing much to bring stars back. Just like us. That Dejon Allen trade, even though he was hurt a good chunk of this season, was still just awful. The chatfield trade was the only decent one pinball made, and he swung a bunch of trades this season/off-season. Pinball also couldn't manage to find the argos a RB worth a damn to replace AJ with. The dip in the argos production is squarely on pinball/muphy but they let Dinwiddie take the fall. No he's off to better things and the argos will probably be a basement dweller.

Bowman is a gooder for sure, so is corey irvin in montreal. In that case, I think the best "next guy up" in the legue is Byran Archambeault. I also think he is the best candidate to be a HC and work closely with the GM in the front office, and maybe do both jobs or be an AGM one day while also coaching. Lavergne in Montreal is also a strong future front office candidate. Idk if any of the montreal guys will want to leave, but they have a lot of guys hard stuck behind macioca and maas. Even AC could be an ast HC and OC if not a HC candidate. -

2 cups in 3 years, an Eastern Final and one non playoff year when they still competed on offense with Arbuckle having a career year and Henslow emerging as a stud. Missing the forest for the trees, Dude.

I think you nailed it w taking a chance on Khari… he was killing it in MTL before a lot of things out of his control went wrong. If JY didn’t have so much potential, one guy I’d be really keen on hiring as a DC is John Bowman, he had that Calgary front playing at an insane level all season, regardless of who was on the DL. -

Osh was a nobody coach when hired... You find a guy who has a brain and isnt limited in his capacity to use said brain..not a hard concept I don't think G.M is an issue here and be fine with Walters back..but a definite line needs to be established as to who the boss is and we lost that deliniation several yrs ago and well the obvious result of that takes us to now -

That's low if its half a school teacher's salary. Like 50-60 k? -
It is a team game though so I'm not completely blaming Arbuckle (Toronto's defense was really good in 2023 and terrible this year, allowing the most points, by a fairly wide margin). They have bled a lot of talent on that side of the ball over the last couple seasons. Stats can also be misleading and don't tell the whole story so I wonder how much of his numbers came in garbage time? I looked at their season schedule and they trailed going into the 4th quarter in 13 of 18 games so there was a lot of opportunity to put up numbers in a losing situation.

I think the only chance to replace both and have a chance to be competitive just evaporated with ott getting dinwiddie. Firing both is rebuild mode not just this off season but next year. I think the best move is to replace one and do a strong re tool in the off season. I believe walters is the easiest to replace competently, but that mos is a larger piece of the problem. I also don’t expect either to go any where unless they decide to go. Toronto may well lure mos away. I don’t think we will make an active decision. I think what we do will be reactionary. Any one who seriously tables keeping hogan on as oc should be immediately escorted out by security. Id be interested in the young guys up front of the als organization for gm, for hc man that’s hard. -
Arbuckle in 15 games was 365/504 with 4370 yards and 26/15 In Kellys MOP season in 18 games he was 270/394 for 4123 yards and 23/12 Only real difference between the two stats wise is Team wins and Kelly also ran the short offense and has a bit more mobility. There really wasn't much of a drop off between Kelly and Arbuckle

I would say the only two relative newbie head coaches in waiting at this time in the whole league are Noel Thorpe and Jarious Jackson. Big issue with Thorpe is that he has a short shelf life with his players. Not fatal on D but he doesn't tend to last long and nor do his players. Hard to run an organization like that since you have to maintain relations with a QB at least and your star Canadian players. You would also need to build a great offensive coaching staff around him. Not sure he's capable of that, and if he has the pull to bring in some of the guys that would be that, great OC, strong receiver/RB coach and QB coach. Jackson will want to control offense which always diverts a coach from running the whole team. He did ok in Edmonton. Takes a great coach to balance all of that. Marc Mueller will get lots of hype too. He's kept the Riders O competitive usually with major OL issues, QB issues. Developed a great receiving corps as positional coach in two places, OC. Young guy with limited reach though who will have a tough time building out a staff. It's really tough to build a staff now. A good friend and colleague of mine who has coached at every level in this country including CFL guest coach has been in demand from CFL teams as a positional coach but they offer him half of what he makes as a schoolteacher. So it's been a hard no. Coaches can make more in a real job or doing private work with prospects than they can make as a CFL assistant. You have to be really willing to work to build up that resume making no money to be a head coach where you can actually make some money. Not great for any potential CFL coaches with families and bills to pay. -

Even if they decided the best course of action is to maintain the status quo? I agree that they have probably earned the right to try to correct things but at the same time, this wasn't an overnight event either. They've let the team veer off course for a couple seasons now and if the best they can come up with is to keep doing the same things that got them here, then I no longer feel they have that right. -

Without their starting QB all season. How do you think any other team does in that situation?

So our answers are a guy who isn't available and an imaginary coach with no name. lol. My buddies have had this discussion but based on Walters/MOS leaving on their own. GM - Danny Mac HC - Younger These are not my choices, just actual examples lol. My choices are the guys in the roles currently. IMO they've earned the right to attempt to right the ship.
