Will the Jets trade Trouba?  Will they resign Scheif to an 8 year deal?  

Will Boston, as heavily rumoured, offer sheet Trouba?  What about the rumours of the Jets in a three way deal with Edmonton and Avs?

Nothing wrong with the Matthias signing. He's essentially what we want Lowry & Dano to be - but he's already established & proven. Great bottom 6 guy, and if it means no more Thorburn & Peluso in a Jets sweater, even better.

Re: Trouba. Best news is no news, IMO. We have the whole summer to sign him and have all the power. The market has dictated that he's worth around $5M a season, and certainly not what his rumoured ask is. Be patient. Wait, he'll come around.

Isles overpay Ladd. Why not just keep Okposo, if you could?

I love what Lucic brings and even at the overpay, Oilers might be ready to push for a playoff spot this year.

Seems like a guy that will work hard and lead by example. Might be management isn't sold on effort from armia/Burmi.Lowry. And he's better than Thorburn

I can't see him cracking the 3rd unless bodies are moved.

why do I have a feeling that Trouba is going to string us the same way Kane did during the 2012 off-season

 

Mattias: 6'4 231lbs, age 28, 12g 16a in 71 games

Lowry: 6'5 210lbs, age 23, 7g 10a in 74 games

Copp: 6'1 206lbs, age 21, 7g 6a in 77 games

 

Bad day to be 4th line center on Jets.

I've said all along that he won't re-sign until just before or during TC. Chevy has the history of going down to the wire with hard to deal with players.

Yup. They want more out of Lowry and this is a player that will push him. Could be either one gets pushed down to the 4th line and if so that's not bad for the depth.  

Worse case the Moose also benefit but I'd susoext Chevy has some irons in the fire on the trade front

Matthias is a good addition to this team.

Hamhuis at two years would have been killer... nice pickup by Dallas.

Copp doesn't have to clear waivers. 

 

Copp Petan Dano are all waiver exempt of our bottom 6 guys. 

Interesting. We all see the number of bodies and think jets won't add forwards but seems jets want to get better. Maybe bigger and grittier and aren't concerned about number of bodies. 

Copp might be wearing the antlers this year then.

Please don't get confused by Mathias size he does not play a heavy game, he has good hands and is a good skater with speed. some people were calling for the Jets to add a complimentary player and that's what he is. If he score's 10 goals and pk's well then the signing is adequate.

I think it would help Copp to spend half a season or more in the AHL...  really think he could end up as a Frolik-type player but I think the Jets rushed his development.
