Dressler Smith Who?

5'6" slotbacks are ok as part of a receiving core. However SK learned that INTs are common place trying to get the ball to them too often. Now Willy's INTs numbers will go up while Durants INTs will go down. I hope the Bombers figure out that you can not completely count on dual 5'6" slotbacks. Get some size in there or struggle

Proof is when Smith had the ball go through the hands in the end zone. Couple inches taller and hes got the ball.

It was right in Smith's hands (not that the TD would have swung the game around)- he just didn't catch it.

couple inches of height wont make your hands work better.

Agreed it hit his hands and as they say, if you can touch it, you can catch it, but there was no touch on that ball whatsoever. It was a straight line rising rocket of a throw when some touch was needed. A soft back shoulder lob, not unlike Glenn's TD pass to Green, would have served better there.

that was a poor throw by willy, behind the receiver.  Willy was awful when it counted when there was still a reasonable amount of time on the clock.  First, on that poor throw  to Smith and second, on that fumble on the snap.  I getting a little tired waiting for a legit #1 QB to emerge on this team.

Poor pass, not to mention that Smith had no business lining up at wide out running that route. That play would've been perfect for Darvin Adams.

The fumble on the perfect snap was when I had just about enough.

Smith looked good when he was used properly.

Smith and Willy were out of sync all nite....on a variety of passes

Willy was out of sync for 2.5 3 quarters tonight

Willy played like garbage until the last 10 minutes.

$400,000 for this?

I guess.. nah. Was gonna say it's his first game in a very very long time but ya willy was crap

this would seem like a true statement if you just didn't watch the game at all. Dressler was playing well until that guy intentionally took a run at him (Yeah it was! Led with his head into a guy with known concussion issue, it wasn't an accident) and smith was wide open on few plays where he could have caught that ball had he been 6'7. And the pass that was intended for Smith but was INT had nothing to do with Smith, he wasn't open on that route at all, Willy had no business throwing that ball. Finally, like others have said, being taller doesn't give you better hands. It was a poor ball by Willy, but smith needs to make that catch in the endzone.
