Jets Prospects

Kyle Connor has 48 point in 27 games an average of 1.7787 points per game .

Dylan Larkin had 47 points in 35 games for the same team last year for an average of 1.343 points per game .

Jack Eichel had 71 points in 40 games in his last year of college for  an average of 1.775 points per game .

I see Connor making the team in the fall and actually signing in March and getting a couple of weeks on the Jets roster at the end of the season.

I am hoping to see Connor on one wing with Wheeler or Ehlers or Armia on the other wing with Scheif or Matthews at center.

Going forward... Connor Scheif Wheeler Armia Ehlers and Matthews/Laine/Puljujärvi look like a pretty solid top 6 for a few years.

Lemieux, Roslovic, Petan, Copp, Lowry, Harkins, De Leo,  Lipon, and Spacek will be fighting for roster spots sooner or later.

We have Comrie and Helle and Phillips for depth in goal and look to be set for some time.

Our D, on the other hand, needs some help on the depth. Besides Morrissey, there isn't much coming up the pike on the left hand side and I fully expect the Jets to take some LHD at this draft or trade for one by this time next year. There is Sami Niku and not much else. The RHD right now is very good but not a great deal coming up the pike. Hopefully Kostalek makes the team in at least a 3rd pairing position and hopefully Glover and/or Poolman and/or Nogier turn out.

He's been with the franchise for 10 years. It's good to see the team respecting that. The other guys in the room, especially the vets, wouldn't appreciate seeing a guy like that benched for a revolving door of rookies.

Yup. I have no issue with him playing.

Ppl can say what they want but... the guys he's "taking a spot" from... petan has been terrible and I think it's obvious Dano is Vegas bound

Okay thought Tulsa was our AA(for lack of term) affiliate. Wiki still says affiliated with Jets/Moose but only 1 guy there. Berdin in USHL which might be same level.

Great to see him get the invite.  Hope he makes the team.

If the Jets go "off the board" this weekend, I could see them going with Nicolas Hague in a similar vein to Stanley.

Seen a little chatter about him.  He's 18 years old, 6'6", 214lbs.  LHD.  Ranked as high as 18.  Bob Mackenzie has him 25.  Perhaps Jets trade down to take him.  Stock seems to be rising.  From Kitchener.

Well after top 3 it's a pick-em draft isnt it?

Top 2 really. I dont see Hague tho. I see Valimaki Foote Brannstrom or BPA Center.

This guy has Jets written all over him, but Valimaki is the guy to set their sights on.

Just Curious... We didnt take hague but why were we assuming they would? Cuz Stanley? We just ignoring they drafted Trouba? Morrissey? Niku? Poolman?

We weren't sssuming anything. We were speculating about a player we thought the Jets might like.

But why? Because hes 6 6 and saw was Stanley? I think some people tend to think Jets draft big guys.. They have this phony reputation of being a big mean team... They arent tho. They are fast and skilled.

Im not sure why this is bothering your or what you think the connection is between Hague and Logan.  There is no conspiracy.  I mentioned Hague first because I saw twitter chatter about him.  Its always possible the Jets dislike a player for being big but I doubt it.

Here was a player who was in that first round chatter.  A D man.  And yes, he had size, why not?  Also from Kitchener and the talk was his improvement curve was more recent.  As someone else said, maybe "off the board" for some teams but possessed some thing the Jets seem to like.

No conspiracy here.  Liked the player, speculated about a big bodied D man with upside.  As it was the Jets drafted a big bodied D man with upside anyway.  Just not Hague.
