Jets Prospects

Kyle Connor has 48 point in 27 games an average of 1.7787 points per game .

Dylan Larkin had 47 points in 35 games for the same team last year for an average of 1.343 points per game .

Jack Eichel had 71 points in 40 games in his last year of college for  an average of 1.775 points per game .

I see Connor making the team in the fall and actually signing in March and getting a couple of weeks on the Jets roster at the end of the season.

I am hoping to see Connor on one wing with Wheeler or Ehlers or Armia on the other wing with Scheif or Matthews at center.

Going forward... Connor Scheif Wheeler Armia Ehlers and Matthews/Laine/Puljujärvi look like a pretty solid top 6 for a few years.

Lemieux, Roslovic, Petan, Copp, Lowry, Harkins, De Leo,  Lipon, and Spacek will be fighting for roster spots sooner or later.

We have Comrie and Helle and Phillips for depth in goal and look to be set for some time.

Our D, on the other hand, needs some help on the depth. Besides Morrissey, there isn't much coming up the pike on the left hand side and I fully expect the Jets to take some LHD at this draft or trade for one by this time next year. There is Sami Niku and not much else. The RHD right now is very good but not a great deal coming up the pike. Hopefully Kostalek makes the team in at least a 3rd pairing position and hopefully Glover and/or Poolman and/or Nogier turn out.

  • This situation didn't start this year and won't be resolved this year. The makeup of the jets had to be addressed for the long term when they arrived here from Atlanta. Does anybody not think the Jets

Connor dominating this weekend...

Connor has been the best Moose forward for about a week or 2 now. Starting to get used to the pro game and finding ways to use his speed more. He's gonna be a good one also.

I'm not interested in rushing him, but I would love to see Connor get a few games back with the big club at the end of the season. A reward for his development. Both teams are out of it anyhow.

I'd like to see Roslo, Connor and Lemieux all make the jump next year.  That's assuming we dump Stafford, Perrault and Thorburn.

Perrault prob not going anywhere with his contract... and Maurice loves the 'hands of stone' line

Crowded fourth line...  be very surprised if Roslovic and Lemieux don't stay in AHL, Maurice could end up send Petan back down too

Well, Moose should be a lot better next season...lol

I don't think they'll bring Roslovic up. There's no room for him right, anyhow, and he could use the minutes.

Another 2 goals for KC tonight.

Laine now on pace for

41 goals, 74 points.

Matthews:

40 goals, 70 points

But Matthews playing with rookies.

Lets not forget Matt Murray in Pittsburgh who apparently is still a rookie?

If Matthews is only playing down the line up that's too bad. If he was better he'd be on the top line like Laine.

Ouch ... I had fun once, it was awful ... ;)

Last night in the second intermission they were saying that Matthew Tkachuck is in the running for rookie of the year?  Like, what?

JT Compher was the only Ave showing some hustle out there last night.  Wonder if the Aves would take Petan and De Leo for him?

No. They got compher in the O'Reilly to buffalo trade.  They won't give him up

For any price?  I'd be willing to throw in Enstrom too.

KC pots another one today. 18 in 38.

3 games in 3 days for the Moose; all on the road.  Crazy.

And i thought the NHL was crazy for doing back to back. This is not MLB!

It is. But Rockford to Chicago is 90 minutes and Chicago to where ever they played today isn't much farther but crazy still

I've heard some people work five days back to back... crazy!!

I'm sure it's very comparable work.

Good look at Tucker Poolman

No points for Matthews tonight and he was -1.

Matthews on pace for:  39 goals, 69points in 82 games

Laine: 40 goals, 74 points in 74 games

Think that gets him the Calder?
