Manitoba Moose

Win their first preseason Game 3 0 over Iowa in North Dakota. De Leo with 2 assists and Comrie with the shut out.

Side note : looks like the numbers on the jersey are similar to the old ones with the moose antlers

TEEMU!   TEEMU!  TEEMU!

Sorry, but we just don't get many chances to chant that these days.

yes we definitely need another Teemu in Winnipeg.   I think someone should talk Laine into changing his first name to "Bobby" while we are at it.  Dale Schiefele has a nice ring to it too.  Morris Wheeler? :)

Sounds like a wild game today. Moose lose but

Maybe Toby’s heir apparent

Or the next Buddy Robinson.

Moose getting a big boost with Roslo, Hutch and Lemieux coming back.   Expect the Moose domination to resume....

Niku is like a teenager transitioning from overseas who was a 7th rd pick... I like how you pretend you actually know anything about Niku or Robinson for that matter.

Buddy Robinson might find himself back in the NHL at some point.  Maybe not for the Jets but for someone.  Good size and decent hands.

I don't see what that has to do with Sami Niku.

Edited for accuracy. ;)

boy are the Admirals salty aren't they

Philips is going to be fun to have around isn't he?

I was at the Moose game today. Niku plays a very composed game. Very smooth out there, like an AHL version of Erik karlsson. Even has the nice flow like him...

If Appleton can be the next Sean Tallaire look out.

Doesnt seem like a great outing for Mason

It was 4-1 Moose going into the third and then things really came off the rails.  I'd say it was a team breakdown more than on Mason.  6 PIM for Petan... three minors.  Iowa scored to open the third period, right after their PP on a Petan penalty ended, and then they scored a couple more times before the Moose got the game back under control.

Said it before but Niku's a player.  He'll be in the NHL at some point next season, IMO.

I liked Spacek's game too.  It is crazy that the Jets can have such a young lineup including guys like Morrissey, Connor and Roslovic yet the prospect cupboard is still so full.

what about Appleton?  Does he have a shot or is he just Patrice Cormier 2.0?

He's a center so he just has to beat out Little or Lowry

Appleton definitely has a shot and he has been playing wing all year with the Moose.... that's probably where he slots in with the Jets too.

Jets seem to use a lot of centers as wingers (Roslo/Copp for instance) so just because you are center with the Moose doesn't make you center with the big club.
