Zontar
Imagine Rider fans begging for his return when they thought it was their Rider fan duty to try and make his life hell when he visited there only to have Burris refuse the trade because of all that abuse. ? You cant make this stuff up.
voodoochylde
Just because the original thread got turfed due to the road it started going down .. I'm going to ask that people try to remain on point with the discussion else this thread will also be locked and be allowed to sink slowly into obscurity. I'm a big fan of Matt Nichols and I think he'll do quite well behind a strong Rider O-line.

I'm a big fan of Matt Nichols and I think he'll do quite well behind a strong Rider O-line. He has the tools to be successful but durability and a bit of bad luck haven't allowed him to take that next step. He'd definitely be a better passer than what they have their now and allow them to be more than a one dimensional team ..

Don't want to get burned giving a team you're close in the standings to a qb.
Mr Dee
And then, the Eskimos would be in a vulnerable position, should Reilly go down. (not that would ever happen). And they're in the same division. Why would edmonton do this trade? Unless they get Christmas early. Fatty Liver
Migs
There will be no trade for Burris, it's just Madani stirring the pot & being a mouthpiece for Desjardins. And like I stated for the past 2 weeks.... @robvanstone: The word from Durant and the Roughriders' medical people is that there's an excellent chance of #4 returning at some point in 2014. Floyd
Declining a first round pick and 'more' for a 39 year old quarterback... That officially puts Desjardin past Joe Mack as worst GM in CFL history.

Brandon
My original theory was a three way trade involving Montreal with Troy Smith going to Ottawa.... Nicholls may also make sense.

Except for the part where Troy Smith had actual trade value... other than that, pretty solid.
