Weren’t you one of many who said he was overpaid. 2 picks and 48 points given up. Great game to show the Edmonton talent on D.

Nope. Not that I recall. I wanted Ford back.

Last year the Elks were terrible and Ford wasn't great so Walters looked big brained.

This year the Elks are playing well and so is Ford so Walters in a dunce.

I'm sure things will yo-yo back and forth in the coming years.

Ford stood out last season on a bad defense.

It's hard to judge players in the secondary sometimes because if you are good the other guys get targeted, but it's not a great look to be earning almost 50% more than your next highest paid peer in the league while being on the team that gave up the most yards passing.

Not his fault. he can only play his position. He's not responsible for what the other teams do.

The slate of games this past weekend was overall the most entertaining to date. The teams who were expected to lose, lost, but they put up a fight. Harrison Frost looks to have potential. all that teams that played looked like they upped their games, which does not bode well for the Bombers. The Bombers' runway is very short.

Hey Bluto, what's your take on Dinwiddie struggling at 0-7 & literally throwing players & coaches under the bus saying they're not the right fit? But seemingly not taking responsibility for the state of the team...

Apologies for the lateness of the reply. Busy weekend (Rush).

Coach Din has his own way and his own vision. I think given enough time he will surround himself with coaches and players and be a big problem for the Eastern division and the rest of the league.

I know that the Dru Brown thing set some people off. But whatever Dinwiddie's vision of a quarterback on his team is, I just don't think Brown fit it. And I don't necessarily think that's a knock on Brown.

And ultimately, as you know, taking responsibility for the team will fall on the coach. So he can throw people under the bus in this phase of his tenure because it isn't really a team in his image yet... He won't be able to do that once all the players and coaches are his guys.

And as it is, I would say that the Redblacks have the second lowest level of talent for a team in the league. So he's got some time to build something before he'll be held to account for results.

As for what you said about Grant losing a step, for me his speed has always been weird. He's the fastest moving player on the field, but at full clip it looks like he's just taking it easy and jogging. And there are guys next to him trying to keep up who are in full on sprints. His return the other night was like that too. Look at the guy who's trying to catch him versus his nice and easy run.

You can't teach speed, right?

?? There have been weeks where every game was a 1 score game right down to the final whistle. This weeks games were solid, but not at all the best this year.

most of the teams tho look leaps and bounds better than us tho...save fo Ottawa...and we barely beat them...we need to fix things up and fast or we gonna be left in the dust

It's not just about the score- for me, it was seeing the competitive play, great individual efforts, coaching adjustments and strategies.

Difference between a grant or Vaval is it looks like they are running effortlessly. Like almost looks like they are actually running very slow at times but you blink and that’s 15 yards. The guys trying to catch them? They look like they trying and running their fastest. Vaval on that 1 return recently, dude went 30 yards in 2 seconds and was the gone. Nobody even touched him and he out ran our own guys who were 20 yards ahead of him running their hardest. Just another level for Vaval and Grant. Gizmo. Etc.

Short guy at work, I’m 6 3, hes 5 5.

He says I’m built for strength and he’s built for speed. He’s kinda right.

toss him around...lol...show him how strength definitely translates into speed! haha

he will see it when he see's how fast he is immobilzed hahaha

So right now, am I wrong to say it looks like a Grey Cup rematch is quite possible?

Alright but pretty sure the prevailing thought at the time was he was off to Edmonton to play with his bro.

Alexander gets hurt regularly and Als don’t look as good. Harris goes down and the west is opened right up but as of today yup Sask vs Montreal no question.

Here’s an interesting question.

Normally the team who doesn’t lose their last game wins the cup, all other teams lose their last game. that’s a little John madden logic there. But it’s true. The winner is the team who doesn’t lose their last game so let’s pretend the bombers sneak in, they make the finals at I dunno 6 and 12 maybe 7 and 11 even. They win their final game and are grey cup champions? Is that a successful season??

Yes it’s a successful season. But it would not be indicative of another successful season the following year.

It would be considered a fluke by fans across the CFL. Even Bomber fans know it was a fluke. I'd take the win knowing the Bombers were lower tier in wins. Two teams with losing records (Ottawa 2017) & Toronto (2018) beat the high flying & heavily favoured Stamps in the Grey Cup those years.

Argos won in 2017 with a 9-9 record, but we were 1st in the East (after going 5-2 in our last 7)

toronto had no business winning the grey Cup that year. The Stamps at 13-4-1 choked like they usually do.
