Bombers-Als Pre Game Discussion

So the game is meaningless from our end as we can't pass Calgary and BC. Its the ESF for us. To me, they should sit Zach to keep him healthy. I'd also like to see Shay and Smith gets reps at linebacker. Call me crazy, but it would be nice to see our two high draft picks get actual reps on D.

Griffin back would be nice... but the team will likely scratch Woodbey to make room for him... one of the few bright spots from our pitiful 24/25 offseason...

This could be all immaterial in the east when Ham clinches first with a win playing the hapless Two Colors....  Montreal will be playing their second stringers against us and set the table for the crossover ....most likely against us....IF we can put the Als away we  play Ham in the east final ...We would have to  put together an A game effort to make the Cup game ... We have already proven we can beat them ...With all the cards on the table who knows....this is the CFL...After a quick summary of this post , I'm most likely dreaming in technicolor,  and the pie in the sky take is definitely inundated with crazy ultra Bomber positivity

I wouldn't be surprised to see MTL play their starters for 3Q+ next week. Alexander has missed a lot of time and last week didn't always look like he was on the same page as the WRs.

Oh I definitely think they'll play their starters next week.....

I think Demski is likely done for the year.

For the season but he will play the east semis.

Not sure about that. Think Woodbey was rostered before griffin got hurt. They prob take a different American off. Prob woods or extra DE and Willie and Vaughters play all game.

I mean if we win and BC losses we get third but the Riders likely play their C Squad again.

Ask the Bombers, that's a good team 🤪

Then the riders vets wouldn’t play for 4 weeks. I’m not sure about that. They likely give them a half.

hope not. I’d rather take parker off.

I could see Ayers yanked..

Interesting from Our Man Tait...

Paraphrasing..

The offense normally reviews tape in the various position groups. This week, for the first time possibly in MOS tenure, the offense watched it all together in an effort to have everyone keep everyone else accountable. Brady O says it was "very productive".

Apparently the defense regularly watches the film all together....

As always, it's very worth your click...

That’s pretty wild to have the game tape only reviewed in your position groups on o. It kind of clarifies some of the issues we’ve seen continually where our wrs don’t execute scramble rules and aren’t on the same page as zach/the qbs.

Teams seldom do that on O or D, though it works much better on D than O.

I wonder if that goes back to buck or not. I’m pretty sure it wasn’t a thing with lapo.

Yeah I don’t see it. Maybe in this game they sit kyrie and start ayers, saving a DI. Maybe they formally start woodbey too. Hard to imagine balancing a roster with 3 Dis being dbs and the 4th your kicker. Though we’ve done similar before.

The play off roster will be very hard to optimize, not that we will make much effort to do so.

Hmmmm dare to dream? Wilson and Strev getting a lot of reps in preparation for Montreal to give them a half each to work? If so and Wilson falls flat on his face (hope not), at least we will know his detractors were correct.

Nope. Griffin is needed but he won't start at CB. That's not his role. I noticed Woods is nicked so he'd seem the logical choice unless O'Shea finally moves Ayers off the AR. Not sure what the deal with the receivers is with Echols in with the 1st string. Since 3rd place is still in the cards until the Lions play after us, this is not a game to play a bunchof PR players.

Nope, considering every qb has fallen flat on their faces it'd just be another indictment of how crappy the offense is in many facets.

What does 3rd place get you that 4th doesn't?  You're still on the road for the playoffs so I see no downside to letting some back-ups get some playing time and letting some starters get some rest.

Griffin has played corner and here, you also have to remember we are fluid with secondary positions. We flipped a ton of guys through most of the spots this year.

I expect they will view the game the same way no matter how it shakes down. They will treat it the same way montreal will. Partial starters, many back ups, few starters play the 2nd half.

O'Shea speaks highly of Griffin's versatility. I see him coming in for maybe Ayers.

A chance to put the other western teams in their place.

If only we had a team capable of doing that.

Sure team game but our qb’s who have played being a team member and all are part, not all, of the reasons this offense  hasn’t reached its full potential and are part of the reasons when things go well. Let’s see 30 minutes of TW, very minimal risk in doing so imo.

I could see some guys getting playing time near the end of the game. But Collaros will be playing the majority of it.

Provided he does not have broken bones protruding through his skin, then yes.

Collaros may play one series, but can't see him doing more than that mainly because:

Why risk him getting hurt, see that done that and it doesn't end well

Why give mtrl reps against our first string offence? OShea loves to keep his cards hidden as long as possible
