illegal hands to face is a blocking penalty. dl are allowed to hit the ol helmet, they can’t face mask and there is some exception for ear holes and hands going inside the helmet.

To an extent, sure, but that was beyond a few taps or glancing blows… and I believe he did close his hand on his mask when Kola’s helmet came off.  Maybe I’m wrong.
