Doesn’t work that way in cover1. No safety can cover that much of the field in the CFL. That’s why the go to cover in the cfl is cover 3, and that’s followed by quarters. 
 

I guess if you go to the well often enough you will come up empty eventually. Not sure of the play before. Olivera just ran over 50 yards the previous two play. Think it would be something different? Just saying

I love Strev but he brings nothing to the team anymore. It sucks, but it's reality.

Isn't Cover 1 man to man with the safety in a deep zone? Playing in the middle doing nothing technically is that

They weren’t last year actually. That’s why zach threw soo many pick 6s, why he threw 15 picks to 17 Tfs with 1/3 of his TDS coming in one game, going to week 6/7 before throwing 1 td (to our team)

Not automatically no, it can and is often used when blitzing, but it’s also used to spy, play robber, hcf elimination and commonly if you are playing vice on a wr. 
 

In the cfl, cover 1 with a Canadian S is almost always purely Seam defence just past the hash on each side in a narrow, tall zone. Then you normally have a corner or half playing match zone and taking the deepest man any place up directly up the middle.

Agreed. At a minimum he has some upside. Cameron Lawson and Schmekel is a solid use of Canadian DTs. And if we can get Woods in there...

That’s the best defensive play I’ve seen him make, and it’s one Jake has no chance of making. 

Rather kick 52 yarder than sit Strev down on short yardage.
