That's what posters here that you were arguing with were saying that personnel decisions & the management of our cap is puzzling with the decisions made. We're not disloyal to question just WTH is going on. This has been a long time thing with Osh as he plays favourites. We get rid of guys who could still contribute like Lawler & let players walk in free agency. Then not replacing them.

No, my arguments have been based on the WHY. Not the what. You've stated multiple opinions as if they're facts. Hindsight is what it is. But at the time multiple people agreed with the moves they made. Those moves just haven't panned out.

No, you NEVER base your opinions here like they're fact. Like everyone else is wrong & you're always right. I guess you're truly the only smart guy here. cool.gif

Thats how osh operates....he rarely will give a new guy...even if they are better a chance.....and good luck un-seating a vet here....prob why we don't seem to be as active in FA of late...guys wanna play...not play second fiddle to teacher's pet

yup...part of our issue is Walter's allows Osh too much say....hence we continue rolling it back with inferior guys each yr...and each yr its worse and worse until a total overhaul is gonna be needed....and could be next yr the way things look so far this yr

i know how....spin it as a joke...failure...flop...and sadly...predictable...encompasses pretty much everything about it

As soon as we re-upped Thomas and T.Jones well before FA I knew right away it would be status quo....same ol same ol...guys pencilled in before camp even started and a uphill impossible battle for any new player to unseat amyone

add Allen....Woodbey...J.Jones...Move Parker up to corner...Griffin to SAM...keep Person on now....add Bailey for the least useful Canadian on roster (or for Sheehan and let Sergio do all 3 jobs) and we in business. Not even giving them a look when it's apparent we aren't at our best is ridiculous....

Gotta mainyain 3 canadians on oline and let Wallace grow into the spot....3 import oline hampers us and the net value of doing it isnt a real positive or makes us better

We also need to figure out receiver cause as it stands...we are bad bad bad and a longer term injury to one of Wheatfall or Demski and we are major hooped

we wouldnt have...we woulda drafted ST guys....and if we did....both prob would have never amounted to much as they wouldnt play...or they would have jammed outta town after rookie deal expired

Totally logical...and a fantasy-. Ain't gonna happen.

I think we might’ve. Good chance one of the two ends up being in the cam judge tier atleast.
Thing is, lbers don’t have the huge uptake time that QBs and some other positions have. Both guys were playing major d1 ball. If they were imps they’d be expected to start as rookies.
The seasoning those guys need, comes from playing D too. We aren’t gonna sharpen them up on kick cover teams. But we played them on D very sparingly in pre season.

We will let guys like schmekel and kornelson drown on D for extended reps each game, but won’t let guys like Shay and smith atleast play running situations.

Ayers is in the same boat. That guy isn’t getting better as a player only covering kicks and eating dirt on short yardage plays.

We suffered through the D reps with karamoko, Kramdi, Hallett, etc.

Gauthier once upon a time was the 28th pick with out standing athletic ability running a 4.6 40 with 10’ broad, cadwallader was even more athletic with some big jump numbers and db reps.

We’ve hammered lots of high upside Canadians down into limited (teams) role players, (Eli, year one ford lots of examples) and up jumped tcf low pick Canadians into starting jobs because of intangibles.
Why didn’t mci get a good half to 3/4 or a game worth of reps at rb? Same with Peterson. Can name soo many guys who we picked with tremendous upside only to give up on them playing their actual position.

as I been saying for yrs and what many fail to actually see...our management of players...and extended to roster is butt ugly horrible...we waste guys talents...fain to recognize talent and usefulness and continue to try and make sub par guys a thing...mostly based on Osh's bias'....does he have this boner for slug Canadians...is it a Canadian Pride thing about less than stellar athletes trying to prove a point he's some guru/wizard??...who knows what it is but needs to stop...I also think his ability to recognize talent is weak and he values too many intangibles that dont translate on feild...

What about giving up on Grant? He wanted to continue playing here.

Lawler I have no clue if he would have stayed.

he would have stayed...but he knew we wouldnt pony up....we didnt have to beat what Hammy offered...but just be in ball park....

Weak/poor moves rarely do....

For those that are interested, there is a Bot on Bluesky that keeps track of changes to teams' neg lists.

It shows that Paige was removed from the Bombers' list 15 minutes ago.

Edge rusher Warren Peeples is on the Bombers neg list... we're all always saying we need more Peeples and one new Person on the DL...

Thanks for the info. The loss of Lawler is even worse knowing he could have stayed.

Good thing all of the free agents we signed are making an impact every week on the field. Where would we be without all of their epic contributions?

Honestly. Lawler just kinda would be part of the problem here also cuz Zach would be looking for him every play and in reality it’s not sustainable. I’m glad we moved on from lawler and I hope it signals moving on from Zach also cuz they have kinda gotten away from the receiver he likes. I know he signed a new deal but it’s the cfl so backups or trades are a thing. I hope zachs leash is getting shorter cuz Streveler in game 1 looked like the qb who works better with the O. Got rid of the ball quicker than Zach does that’s for sure.

Don't we retain Wilson's rights and ELC?

So, Mitchell doesn't look for Lawler every play? The only other playmaker in that passing offense is Tim White. If Lawler is an A then White is a C. As far as moving on from Zach, just who are we going to move on to? Have you checked our qb roster? There's nothing to move on to. I'd be for starting Wilson at qb just to see if he has a chance to be an actual starter for us.

I was thinking about Terry Wilson as well. The glimpse we got of him at last years gc makes me curious to see what he can do with a full playbook and practice as a starter but can’t see that anywhere near on the radar of our coaching staff. I think to them that would admit defeat.
