I've never seen Brown take off & run downfield. Or use his legs to get a first down. At best, he can avoid the first couple of tacklers that break thru the LOS & then gets sacked.

His longest run here in the regular season was just under 20 for a first and he had a run slightly longer in pre season. Not only did he run for some firsts here, he had some great run and throw plays. He also had over 300 in his first year of college with a long of 62 yards. He’s a run to throw guy, but he’s fully capable of picking up a first with his legs if needed.

Brown's forte is finding open receivers and throwing accurate passes, but until his O-line provides better protection, he'd better make like Zach and be ready to roll out of the pocket at a moments notice. It's up to Condell to figure this out. BigBlueFanatic, Bigblue204 and wbbfan 3

Alexander has a strong advantage in Montreal, I suspect the ALs will be a lot better, but brown will probably have much better stats. But rourke will get all the publicity of the 3.

Pretty much...and I wish the TSN clowns would shut up about the Canadian QB stuff..like really who gives a flying fack..especially when one is a glorified...I don't even know what...running back? Why don't they make a big deal of a receiver...DB? If they wanna toot the canadian horn Toot Oliveira's and what he has accomplished...rivals anything any import has done wbbfan 1
JuranBoldenRules Posted 5 hours ago Report Posted 5 hours ago (edited) I think Rourke's running is a real sign of his lack of maturity as a QB at this point. He takes a lot more sacks than he needs to as well because he starts looking into the rush and looking to escape to run. He hasn't developed the ability at this level to avoid staring down the rush. Maybe BC's OL last year didn't help him in that area. He looked somewhat improved in that regard yesterday. Alexander is a Dave Dickenson clone. Just zero fear and scrappy. No one has anywhere near the arm Dru Brown does. Collaros and Rourke are the only guys in his league. You watch Adams, BLM etc work from the pocket. Floating balls, off time all over the place. Guys having to work back to balls thrown behind them, dive at balls on the turf, leap at balls sailed with no velocity. You pin Adams and Ford in the pocket 90% of the game, stay patient, just wait for them to hand the ball to you. Ottawa needs to stop paying washed up Americans on D and get a OL. Start with playing a centre who can snap with his eyes up. WTF is Jacob Ruby doing there? Edited 5 hours ago by JuranBoldenRules Noeller and Atomic 2
