Nice guys finish last...or lose embarrassingly in playoffs...like we have witnessed

Character and niceness should never trump talent...I don't mean guys like the pest and that fool DB Marshall in sask...and the like...but a loner...nose to.grindsrone guy...plays on edge but doesn't hurt team...agitator...we need several 

Also some thumpers on defence...especially secondary...attitude adjusters towards opponents...enough of the smurphs and waifs...but again...that's on Osh and what he thinks is ideal

That's a pretty good receiving corps, but Montreal's pass rush ought to impact their success.

Against the riders it's the same thing it's always been... Trevor Harris doesn't like getting hit so pressure him and make life uncomfortable for him.

Noeller thinks that because some of us wanted Osh & Walters replaced means we didn't like them as people. Or we think they're asshats. Which is just ridiculous. No one here said anything about them not being nice people. Osh is extremely approachable. The criticism is just how they coach & manage. Completely different things.

Gonna disagree..i believe Noeller was saying because they have been the only tandem in what like 30 years to have a dynasty team that maybe it would be wise to keep em around.. i could be wrong..there definitely  is more there than they are nice people though.

So here's what I actually meant...

I'm (almost) as guilty as anyone for talking **** online about guys in a pretty cavalier manner, that can make it seem like we're advocating for someone to get fired and not be able to provide for their family... And that's not right. 

It's good sometimes to gain a bit of perspective and realize these aren't just video game characters... They're real people. They're (by and large) very nice people. They're (generally) trying as hard as they can to do the right thing out on the field and in the community.

Well, just for the record, Even though I wanted both fired, I never questioned their integrity or committment to the Bombers, City of Winnipeg or the fans. Yeah, they are nice people. However, nice people lose their jobs everyday.

It’s been my experience that frequently doing strong man poses after 3-7 yard gains usually results in people ever remembering you played in the CFL.

No matter the sport with a few exceptions isn’t it shown that coaches/gms have shelf lives that sometimes has nothing to do with their personalities and who they are as people? Just a fact of life that some relationships just run their course.

I remember now, Duke Williams. No one misses him. I'm a longtime fan & I had a hard time remembering who he was.

Yeah, take Bob Dyce. Supposed to be a heckuva nice guy but was a shitty HC who never should be one in the CFL again. Should be a head coach ion Junior ball. That's probably his level of competence. Criticizing the man as a Head Coach doesn't mean anything other than that.

However most people deserve respect and compassion in how they receive feedback on their performance.

Dynasty teams win 4...5 cups...we weren't that...a good team...yip...realized its true potential...heck no..and that was self inflicted 

And yeah you can be nice until its time not to be...we lost that message internally focused on looking back and gushing about the past..and where we came from before we turned it around...totally ignoring what was the now and the whats and why's for it

And it wasn't over the course of 1 yr...that's the issue and what makes anyone think they (he) can change...or is even capable/willing?

This stench is more on osh than the other 2...only stench on them is not kicking him to curb...or stepping in and laying down some law and say..make the changes...or resign if u wont

They also know what they signed up for and how business works..produce in a what u done for me now situation...or your gonna be replaced...just like the players he cuts...same thing...no sympathy for a coach in any league that fails...none

Ritchie...nicest.. kindest guy ever...family man..loved and respected by players..staff...volunteer help...opened his home to anyone..father figure to many a player...canned how many times?? Nature of the beast

He also was an accomplished position coach and coordinator and coukd create scheme and systems..Osh...not even close to that

May be biased as know Ritchie quite well and know Osh as the player and was the polar opposite almost of what he preaches...classic do as I say not as I do(did) kinda scenario

None the less...good people get canned...always and forever in sports
