I cringe just reading this ... It's just so, so bad. They're clearly working with him, because it's toned down from when he started, but it's still just way too much. And there are SO MANY incredible PBP guys working Major Junior and even Junior A who deserve a shot... Don't get me started on Jack Michaels, AN AMERICAN, who somehow got hired to do regional in Edmonton....

Canadiens’ Laine benched for entire third period in Game 2 loss

Looks like both Laine and Poolparty may end up playing in Finland next year.  Hard to believe they both had/have so much talent and yet just can't really reach the next level in the NHL.

If Laine ever learned to move his feet, and play with the edge that his size suggests he can, he would be elite. I don't know how to qualify him as anything other than a lazy player with extreme amounts of skill. Skill never trumps effort anymore, this isn't the 80's. It's too bad that this hasn't dawned on him yet, and looks likely that it never will. I doubt he ever doesn't have a place in the NHL somewhere, but his salary and his role is going to diminish a lot.

This Montreal series is really heating up...

He’s not coming back this series. He’s not even skating. Vilardi travelled to St. Louis with them. He might. Ehlers isn’t playing. He’s still week to week. (If rumors are true, it’s possible he’s done as a Jet also as that’s how legit his injury is). He might have played his last game as a Jet. I don’t mean the injuries career threatening. It just means there’s lots of talk he’s not gonna sign here. He’s not close to returning. Maybe maybe round 2 if they make it Is possible but I’ve heard more like round 3. Vilardi and Demelo tho. They should be back perhaps tomorrow even.
