We'll leave it at this

Ironic since Kirk championed “free speech” as the foundation upon which to spread his views, even ones that were quite divisive. Yet opinions on his life (which are common when someone else does, be it a musical hero to some or someone more infamous like an OK Simpson) are being censored because it may lead to some divisive stances. Unfortunate.

We don't moderate political discussion here. There is really not more to it than that.

we're going to have to reserve a spot for Robert Munsch soon, this one is a real heartbreaker, I really hate Dementia

The guy is (was) a legend for childrens books.  I remember reading them with my parents when I was really young and then doing the same with my kids when they were smaller.  His works are timeless.

My daughter was reading his books last year and prior. He will be missed but his legacy will live on. I guess not RIP yet but hopefully sooner than later I suppose.

I didn't think dementia qualified for MAID.

He also has Parkinson's, not just dementia so he could possibly have been approved based on that diagnosis.

The catch to mental health issues and MAID is that he has to choose to do it while he is still competent.  If he waits too long, he won't have the capacity to choose to go through with it.  Better too soon than to late is what it comes down to.
