I don't know what's worse seeing yet another team that has taken Winnipeg out in the playoffs go on to the Stanley cup finals and or Win, or the fact that Vegas will win before Winnipeg does

I would think what's worse is that Vegas won with so many Manitoban players on their roster, most of which were not highly regarded or even drafted (hello Zach Whitecloud) but yet played such important roles in winning this cup.  I say "most of which" - not including Mark Stone who was amazing through the entire playoffs and I don't quite get why he wasn't the Con Smythe winner but whatever.  But man talk about building a team and making it a "team", unlike what we've had to endure here in Winnipeg for the past five years where they've been anything but a team.

Most those Manitoba born Vegas players played for mccrimmon with Brandon of the whl. It's no surprise most decided to join him in Vegas

"Well, let's take a look at each team and how far out they might be.

Canucks -cap crunch and not enough depth. Once they get rid of myers and ekman-larsson then maybe they could afford some better defense. 5-10 years from potentially winning.

Calgary -tough to say how good this roster will be with the new coach. Reassment will be made after next season, but if huberdeau doesn't improve and the goaltending stays problematic then i dont see them making it far anytime soon.  5-10 years or longer, pending on when they want to rebuild.

Oilers -if they don't get close in the next 3 years they have to rebuild. Draisaitl will need a huge raise and with nurse's horrendeous contract it will be hard to build something competitive.

Jets -rebuild within the next 2 seasons. Window has closed, once the rebuild starts it will be reassessed. But im not looking forward to it. Winnipeg is a hard town to attract free agents to and their youth pool is mid range.

Leafs Next 3 years. After that, they might need to rebuild. All of the forward core are on expiring contracts with potentially high aav.

Canadiens Huge potential with the youth on this team. Not too many terrible contracts right now, and they have a ton of grit. They have a huge window opening in a year or two. Could make a serious run if they get solid goaltending and all the young offensive weapons continue to develop.

Ottawa Same boat as the Canadiens. If they can stay healthy and find more consistent goaltending then they could make some serious playoff runs. Their roster is filled with unique, talented and gritty players who are already meshing well. Window opens next year, could last 6-8 years depending on if they keep all of the great young talent they have."

The full, five-game Stanley Cup Final averaged a 1.3 rating and 2.6 million viewers on the Turner networks, down 43% in both measures from last year’s six-game Avalanche-Lightning series on ABC (2.3, 4.6M). Compared to the two out-of-season COVID-era Cup finals, viewership edged Lightning-Canadiens in 2021 (2.5M) and comfortably outpaced Lightning-Stars in the 2020 “bubble” (2.1M).

Outside of the COVID-era seasons, this year’s Cup Final was the least-watched since Ducks-Senators in 2007 (1.8M) and the second-least watched in at least 30 years — ahead of only 2007 and Rangers-Canucks on ESPN in ’94 (2.4M).

I'd like to see the stats on this as what is included in TV watching? 

Does it include screen time on the smart phone watching everything under the sun that is videoed or is it broken into different types of programming or?

The point is it's probably a bit more complex than TV watching is down across the board.
