yes..I am sure there will be many holds...that being said we will get away with some too obviously, but not the same volume..and our least penalized team status the last 3 years is a testament to that

What a disappointing return.

Hopefully we replace him with a guy trying to land down south.

Zylstra being my 1st choice but I think he sticks around PRs

I wonder if they know a former CFLer will be shaking loose from the NFL and they want him more, or have they just decided he's been bad this year and don't want to pay him anymore?

Can’t say I’m happy about Matthews being cut. He’s still a better player then Lawler or Whitehead. I wonder what circumstances led to us cutting him, or if we’re planning on targeting a Duke Williams or swinging a trade for Derel Walker.

The deadline for vets is on the doorstep so that could be why.

But hopefully they've been talking to agents of guys down south with the cut down coming.

It certainly feels like a lot of adversity at once. But this team was doing well without Chris Matthews before and will do well without him again.
