good news thread (non polItical please)

Thought a thread with good news would be a good idea.

In December, Associate Minister for the Environment, Eugenie Sage, confirmed the plastic bag phase out for retailers.

From July 1, 2019, retailers will be prohibited from selling or giving away single-use plastic shopping bags. As of 2018, the nation uses approximately 1.6 billion single-use plastic bags each year.

So today I finally managed to do something that I had been wanting to do since February. The death of the dog that played Rex on Hudson and Rex was such a punch in the gut for me, but it took me less than a day to realize that I should donate money to an animal charity in his memory. I wasn't even thinking about any tax receipts when I was discussing this idea with my mother.

I jut turned 70 last week. At my age just waking up is good news. Bonus that I remembered where the bathroom was thus preventing a nasty accident. Yes, I remembered to close the lid. Wait a minute, did I flush???

The older I get I find my eyesight is getting better handling the dark.

Or it could just be i know how many steps and the obstacles on the way to the bathroom in the middle of the night.

I'd go with #2. You're blessed with a good memory... until you aren't.
