I like this trade for the Oilers. They get out from under a brutal contract with a talented, albeit underachieving, young player coming back.

They sent vegas 2 of them lol. They are in win now mode. Tavares Eberle could be deadly. 

Tough one for me...one of my favourite players no longer in Oilers colours. Damn shame. Add his jersey to the pile of "no longer on this team".....sigh. But, as mentioned, it's a cap move for the Oilers. Also, Strome is a big, strong winger. Physically, the exact opposite of Eberle. Won't be afraid to go into dirty areas. Oilers love players like that...

Strome is a natural center 

....but will still likely play wing.....unless something changes and they move him down to 3C or something, but at this point, he's likely to play wing...

The Big Story - In order to catch up on 9 more away games then home games the Jets will play 10 consecutive at home after the All-Star break.

Friday Nov 10th, Jets at Vegas.

 

Vegas here twice.  And jets have a ten game homestand in February.  And a six game homestand in march.

10 game home stand right after the all star break and pretty much the whole month of February.

Thats impressive.  Games are fairly well spaced two.  No back to back.  Some 3 night breaks.  That will be the critical part of the schedule.

Evidently, MB one of the few provinces NOT giving Monday Nov.13 off as a Stat?  It's marked as an off day here at my work regardless.  Maybe I'll start looking at flights!
