US Politics

Lets see if we can keep this thread a little more civil.

I found this interview very interesting.  A lot of soft balls thrown at Trump, he explained his back pedalling on his more extreme issues as a lot of his claims as opening bids for negotiation purposes.  Which .. whatever .. I still think that those are insincere claims he used to get elected.

He does now come across way more presidential then he did prior to the election.  A lot of his noise, yelling, and rhetoric has been scaled back.

Do respect this one though:

Quote

Lesley Stahl: Are you gonna take the salary, the president’s salary?

Donald Trump: Well, I’ve never commented on this, but the answer is no. I think I have to by law take $1, so I’ll take $1 a year. But it’s a -- I don’t even know what it is.

Donald Trump: Do you know what the salary is?

Lesley Stahl: $400,000 you’re giving up.

Donald Trump: No, I’m not gonna take the salary. I’m not taking it.

What kind of hypnotic spell does this buffoon have over people, do they really think this idiot should be leading the US, everything seems to bounce off this guy, any other President would of been forced to resign after a few months for all the stupidity he has done and said, but here we are still in power and looks like he has the potential to steal the election.

Racism. That's what the MAGA types see. As for the donor class, well they're busy looting the country while everyone is watching the circus clown perform.

Wow, I had no idea that so many people skimmed off of the money raised for his campaign.... Sweet schadenfreude...

This overnight update: The Johns Hopkins University now says 1,422 Americans died yesterday from coronavirus. - Wolf Blitzer

Someone should ask Trump today what the hell herd mentality is and watch him get all twisted, what a complete and utter buffoon, remember he said he was playing the virus down, or was he playing it up, he really does think that everyone who is not an enabler is an idiot.

He believes he’s talking about Joe Biden but actually is saying what most sane people are thinking about him.

This is amazing stuff from Daniel Dale. And the thing is, it’s not made up, these are things the fake president has said.

Oh and he thought he got great reviews the other night on ABC

Quote: From that ABC forum
“It would go away without the vaccine, George,” Trump told Stephanopoulos. “With time it goes away. And you’ll develop like a herd mentality. It’s going to be herd developed, and that’s going to happen. That will all happen.”
- To put this in context, many experts believe that for herd immunity to be effective, more than 60% of the population would need to be infected. At the current death rate of coronavirus cases, which is over 2.9%, that would mean there is a risk of over 5.8 million deaths to possibly achieve herd immunity.

Loved the line " a fire hose of lying". I'm gonna have to add that to my vernacular.

I step closer to becoming what Trump fantasizes about

They really should just go with, "This administration is full of ****."

It's concise and more accurate.

Trump game plan is very easy to figure out, tell out and out lies, quote anonymous sources, use doctored video , promises a vaccine , and when all else fails bring out the AG to summarize the Durham reports that sets fire to everyone connected to the Democrats and Biden, when that all fails to move the needle towards Trump he will try to steal the election, and with some of the people he has put in place he might get away with it.

No surprise here..and two of his heroes are ahead of him...Putin and Xi

Telling words..

Netanyahu is a career criminal but he's no match for Trump. Trump is like the crazy mob boss you don't want to cross because he'll drag you down to his level. Netanyahu is a crime boss too but at a lot more discreet.

But once you start operating in Trump's world, you need to play by his rules. He's got receipts, I'm sure, and he'll destroy Netanyahu if he crosses him.

This guy is amazing and that’s a fact.

Oh hey, I totally forgot that OANN hired a Russian disinformation agent in the past.

Look elsewhere this administration says...
