  1. Why are you so hell bent on starting a commotion on this forum.
  2. Dyce and Jones for sure are coaches anyone could like, whether it translates into wins is another story
  3. I still like that Pigrome ! I think he has what it takes to be a really good pro QB. Could be wrong , but there is something about that fireplug attitude I like.
  4. I'm going to ride the Pig , as long as they keep him as the short yardage QB. At some point his athleticism will show up. Piggy T
  5. Game stats are all messed up this year. I think they are trying to use AI and break everything down. Trying way to hard just Keep it simple.
  6. You know Holm looked good too and I would really have to consider him for a star
  7. Gotta say props to Holms and Houston tonight, 2 backs I thought would be a detriment, but proved me wrong!
  8. You have to understand my state of inebriation when I finished those picks. It was really hard to see the numbers properly. Ill stand by those final totals and bet in the end they will come closer than most other early season predictions.
  9. Bombers 14-4 Calgary 11-7 Edmonton 9 - 9 BC 7 - 11 Sask 4 - 14 Ham 10 - 8 Ott 10 -8 Tor 9 - 9 Mont 6 - 12
  10. I might be wrong, but I have a gut feeling, the Pig will do some amazing things for this team. I'm going Pigrone!
  11. Maybe, but lets see how our talent we have plays out and see who we might bring in. Having Kongbo sign with the Leos is certainly a big loss. For sure no one in training camp or preseason came as advertised except maybe Thomas, Caba might also be an answer. We might also be stronger in the back end with Alexander and Darby starting the season , so that might make a difference. Until we play a regular season game with real bullets flying we wont know how this will play out. Preseason is for trying to figure out what and who works best.
  12. You're over thinking it. You never know when a gem will appear and of course you do want to recruit with that in mind. However finding the next one is not all that easy. Other things come into play like signing castoffs who might have been overlooked or not needed , trades etc. With the strong veteran core and some prospects looking good on the practice roster, I think we will be ok. we for sure do not want to do a Wally and start cutting vets who might still have some serviceability, but although Wally is a hall of fame coach , I do not remember him winning many multiple or back to back championships. I think this regime is doing it right and rewarding those who have put it all on the line. When the time is right I think they will mostly move on , on a term that everyone can accept.
  13. Looks like there are 5 new players on the practice roster who I really like and could make an impact given the chance. I think they recruited really well, gave the big names a chance to prove themselves during the 2 preseasons and kept the 5 who did impress. We will be alright!
  14. Pig I really like. He adds another dimension to the quarterback game. The game moves faster with him in and he seems to be able to make mostly the right decisions.hWith him involved it is a defensive coordinator nightmare of who to send and when. The RPO absolutely freezes linebackers and as long as he can keep making those right quick decisions something good and positive yardage will happen. I’m going to be excited to see what he can do in live action during a regular season game. He may not yet be the second coming of a Doug Flutie, but I’m betting he will be close. It’s going to be an exciting time following his journey, I’m betting on the Pig!
  15. Houston is getting picked on and hasn’t looked good so far
  16. I find it interesting we are still calling it Rye in Canada. Most Canadian Whiskeys nowadays use a lot of corn mash for their base that's why we no longer see the labeling of Rye Whiskey as much. I actually learned this from a tour of the Jack Daniels distillery in Tennessee a few years ago. I couldn't believe that a good Manitoba company such as the makers of Crown Royal would ever do this, but low and behold what they told me is fact. I suspect that the 40 Creek is also probably not a true rye anymore.
  17. I always liked Mo as a player and a person. If this is bad beans about his former team and the way he was treated, then it isn't much. I'm glad his is still doing his thing no matter what league it may be and wish him all the best. Until his Achilles tear he was an amazing player and a key cog on this team. I don't see any really bad stuff against his former team or the way he was treated here.
  18. https://edmontonsun.com/sports/football/cfl/edmonton-elks/edmonton-elks-offering-season-seats-to-families-of-four-for-under-300?utm_term=Autofeed&utm_medium=Social&utm_source=Facebook#Echobox=1677013597 Thats a pretty sweet deal! They have lots of unused space, great way to get families with youth involved and create great memories. If the Elks even can create a little excitement on the field
  19. Woli-Guitarsky - Great handle! Excellent thoughts too!
  20. Hard to fault the Bomber Store on that. The world changed a lot during the pandemic and supply chain issues had an impact in all faucets of life including specialty merchandise. Sourcing quality stuff with a reasonable price point was and still is a real headache for bulk purchasers. The Bomber Store handled it as best they could it sounds like. I run a charitable organization which we were looking to purchase a simple ball cap last summer. The best deal we could find was 50 caps with our embroidered logo stitched in for $22 each, which meant we had to resell for $30 just so we could make a few dollars. Still have over half to sell. We then found some caps we purchased bulk for $3.50 each, not always uniform in color, but we could glue our patch on for another $1.30 so our cost was under $5 , but selling for $15 we made more money with less cash output. Quality of the caps was similar. Those caps sold out.
  21. https://archive.macleans.ca/index.php/article/1980/11/24/grey-cup-hangovers-and-a-man-called-twinkletoes Didn't know where to post this and found it on the Riders forum. An old article from 1980 about how the Grey Cup got it’s festive nature with the Winnipeg connection. So well written thought it might have some relevance.
