  1. It almost as if media members don’t know how to evaluate OL play….
  2. There has to be a way to make it simpler. For everyone’s sake.
  3. It's Zach vs. Bo.
  4. MOS will have his statue outside IGF one day. Doesn't mean he's perfect.
  5. That would make complete sense - MOS wouldn't even reveal the holder on the coach's show. I assumed that the submitted depth chart had to be accurate. Otherwise what's the point?
  6. It looks like Grant will be able to come in for Woli if we so choose. Kramdi the back-up DB (or Darby and Kram becomes SAM). No nationalized Canadian on D because we only start Jake? Might limit our options. Like we thought, no roster shenanigans like some other teams are doing. Just the expected depth chart.
  7. Exactly. So do I believe he's going to fully maximize these new rules or is going to continue to manage the roster as he always has based on his own set of factors?
  8. We gonna see a depth chart today? Man, I'm curious.
  9. Some here need to accept our Holm and Savior into their hearts. Praise Evan.
  10. This is kind of how I meant it. I remember O'Shea taking advantage of loop holes and trickery in his Toronto days and beginning years with us. We haven't seen a whole lot of it lately, but obviously he knows the rules forwards and backwards. IMO, for better or worse, MOS values special teams as equally as O and D. This leads to roster decisions that sees several back-up LBs instead of depth at :more important positions" that leaves our heads scratching. People have also screamed about his loyalty in the past, but I think that's more that he respects his players as a whole, rather than just potential production. His start/sit decisions considers the leadership qualities, film room preparedness, etc. that we just don't see. Now, believing all that as I do, do I think that MOS is going to seat a guy like Woli to get extra snaps of McCrae on the field? Ehhhhh....
  11. If you call Bomber Nation the small group of die hards that cares to follow roster moves, then yes, I agree with you.
  12. 9 LBs and and 3 DEs rostered some games... DT asked about it on the coaches show for me. MOS laughed it off. Said they do rotate the DEs and have had plenty of bodies doing it over the years. Also commented that you don't want to take the Jeff's off the field more than you have to.
  13. "Mike O’Shea, a Hall of Famer who has been in the CFL as a player and coach for more than 30 years, said Evan Holm has the best feet of any defensive back he’s ever seen" "Veteran defensive co-ordinator Richie Hall, who has been in the CFL even longer, said Holm didn’t have a good training camp, but an outstanding one" "Dalton Schoen, one of the best receivers in the CFL, said Holm was the Winnipeg Blue Bombers’ best player in training camp"
  14. I honestly doubt MOS will learn the rule. He's just going to trot out the same roster he always has.
  15. Honestly, I can’t see myself putting in the effort to learn. It doesn’t make any sense and I doubt someone could rationalize these rules existence to me in the first place.
  16. Evan Holm with two INTs for TDs this year, confirmed.
  17. The best thing that could happen for this board is if Holm goes off and becomes a league all-star.
  18. I mean, I couldn’t care less about league uniform rules. It does look good on the broadcast when all is matchy matchy, but in extreme heat warnings….playing football…do what you gotta do, lol
  19. And carried. Mod…..mod…..Bueller?
  20. Yeah, I was just trying to get off the DUI vs. Immigration topic. Yawn. Jeff Hamilton suggested that the Bombers told us a conservative estimate and it may only take 2-3 weeks, rather than 3-4. So my new hope is that Kenny is back for Week 2.
  21. Kenny can't get the games back, obviously. But if his agent dropped the ball or something that, it might be something that Kenny considers. Same deal with the Bombers. If this caught them unawares, they may want to make sure they're more diligent in checking into players that are being brought in.
  22. It's also possible that he and his lawyer kicked it down the road so it didn't impact him last season (which has also been reported/suggested). The issue is we don't know the private details of his case so are also open to the possibility that it just took this long. You're the only one trying to say that the events happened a specific way and saying everyone else is wrong.
  23. I disagree. The DUI was the story when it happened. The issue now is Kenny is ineligible to work due to the DUI. The club needs to file paperwork through the immigration office, not a criminal court in order to regain that eligibility - hence, immigration issue. Any headline reads "LAWLER SUSPENDED" and the DUI mentioned as the reason - No one is softening anything.
  24. It was at the time. It has since evolved. While it is the reason for the story, it is no longer the story.
  25. Yeah, I know about Bennett, lol. I just counted a 3 man rotation with a rookie Canadian as "no one else". Even with Haba in there, I'm underwhelmed. Especially with Schmekel as the DT rotation/back-up.
