There is certainly a range of outcomes that led to Harris staying in BC. The right mix of things happened at the right time.

He had me from his first off season interview. He was so transparent about his plans and how they worked out, or why they didn't. It really made me gave faith that he'd figure out a way to get it done.

Honestly, it's like looking at "big time" saves for a goalie. But if the goalie was in the proper position most of the time, he doesn't *need* to make the big time save. I don't understand why some people need to twist things to be a slight against us. Enough with the inferiority complex.

Who did we have when Medlock was our starter? Do teams normally have a bunch of kicking depth? I certainly have no issues with PRing him, but does he want that?

So, he's not ready at all. Does Castillio punt? But do you keep the guy around for his entire developmental time? Cameron famously got cut by 6 or 7 teams and didn't stick with us until he was 27 yo. Do we let Liegghio keep doing crappy punts for another season until he's "ready"? I think I agree.

The required bump to Desjarlais doesn't come without an equal loss somewhere else, so I'm not quite as confident as you. Biggie and Jefferson also took covid cuts and will expect to be taken care of. I see us losing an OL starter. The point of drafting and developing is to be able to plug in the next guy and not spend peak dollars on every member of the unit. The only way Harris stays in Montreal is if they cut him and then resign him to a back up deal. I'm sure he's going to go looking for a better situation. There are so many guys like Maier, Arbuckle, Evans/Masoli, Harris that are going to want starting positions but not all are going to get them. Throw Streveler in there too, maybe.
